Story
Rocko is a 95.4-pound grey and white Pitbull mix with a big presence and an even bigger heart. At just one year old, he’s still young but already knows what he wants—a home where he can be the center of attention. Though he has lived with other dogs, Rocko would much rather be your one and only. He is both crate and house trained, making him a well-mannered addition to the right home. He has only been around teenagers and is slow to warm up to new people and places, so he needs an owner who will respect his boundaries and give him the space he needs to feel safe. With patience and understanding, Rocko will prove to be a loyal and loving companion. He’s looking for someone who will let him settle in at his own pace and, in return, he’ll offer unwavering devotion. If you’re ready for a strong, steady best friend, Rocko is waiting. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.

Meet Tsuni, a 1-year-old sweet Pitbull with a playful spirit! She’s potty-trained, knows “sit”, “shake”, and “lay down” and has been around cats. We haven’t dog tested her with dogs, but she seems friendly. This young lady would thrive in a home where she can run, play, and fetch.
