American Shorthair kittens & cats in Searcy, Arkansas

Sweet wonky-eared kitty showed up to our house Nov 2025. Was scraped up, eye swollen & bloody legs, see pic. Dec we made a bed outside for shelter & started calling him Cody. Once we tried to pet him, he barreled into our legs to rub up against us & flopped over for belly scratches. He must have been a pet before! We would make him a permanent family member, but we have other cats. Even after 3 months our older outside-cat is stressed around him & 3 inside cats hiss & growl at him. A territorial neighborhood cat beats him up. Cody was neutered & clipped in Feb by our local animal shelter. The neighborhood bully keeps attacking him. Cody gets cuts on his ears, face & legs. After the last fight, one of Cody's back legs was swollen for days. He is currently a community cat, but he would be the best pet for a loving family. He is sweet, docile, loves pets & belly rubs. We let him into our house during freezing weather & he slept in our laundry room & used a litter box with no problems.

Mary Leigh is a beautiful, very smart companion. She is not a fan of other cats but she is a fan of her people. She’s curious and attentive and loves to hang out with you just doing anything. Mary Leigh would do best in a calmer household with no other cats. She really is a Princess ?

Bowtie is an absolute sweetheart, 8-9 months old (the purrrfect age to adopt). He is very food motivated, and loves cuddles, but can be a bit skittish if you move too fast at first. Bowtie is awesome on his own, but would love to be adopted with his BFF Manicotti.

Manicotti is a wonderful boy! He is 8-9 months old. He is a little skittish able first, but with a little patience he can be pet/held. (it just takes some time for him to warm up). Manicotti is purrrrrfect on his own, but would love to be adopted with his BFF Bowtie.

Tika is a feline who will add a warm presence to your life. A beautiful tortoise shell, she likes to be outside during the day, in the yard or on her shelter, or be inside next to you. At night, she'll snuggle up by you, or on her cat bed. She has a lovely purr and good manners. Tika is perfectly imperfect, and lovable. Not a lap cat, and working on inside litter box use. Rodents? She'll take care of it. The best fit is a calm, stable home with a large yard, with 1 - 2 people who will look after her and love her. While she adjusts to her new life, a patio enclosure (temporary is OK) is best. No other cats, at least until she adjusts. A dog, maybe, but only if very cat friendly. Tika's foster mom has cared for her since she was 5 months, along with her abandoned mother and brother. She is the sole survivor, and has become accustomed for the most part to the domesticated life. Her foster mom is unable to care for her for the long term. This sweet gal needs her forever home!
