Story
We adopted Nugget after the death of our 16 year old cat last year. Nugget was 10 weeks old when we adopted her from Dumb Friends League in August. We have taken on more than we can handle - emotionally our kids are still attached to our cat that passed away. While we were home for many weeks following adopting Nugget, we are away so much for the next year, we feel it is unfair for the kitten. She still loves to play and be around people.

Story
Reuben is my best friend. He has been with me for 7 years and is roughly 10 years old. He has his quirks. He is house trained and very sweet. But he ultimately needs to be in a home more suitable for him. He has some separation anxiety and plays/bites rough sometimes. I have never seen him with another cat, but I believe he could function well with them. He is not a shy cat and LOVES being around people and loves attention. Ultimately I am moving in with a dog and he does not get along. The best possible situation is a one cat household with someone that can give him all the love he deserves.

Story
Kiki was adopted by us as a kitten in 2019. As our family has grown and we adopted a dog and had a baby she has not adjusted well and is spending most every day in her cat perch regardless of how much we try to coax her out. She does great with our other cat but definitely not with dogs.

Story
Duchess' Story: Duchess was dumped when her previous owners discovered she was pregnant. She lived on the streets for 3 years but somehow kept her sweet nature. She delivered that 1st litter two years ago and two more in 2024 (February & August). We were able to trap/rehab the February litter so they could be adopted, and the summer litter was born in-house. Our intent was to keep Duchess and give her a good home. She certainly deserves it. However, as a result of her time on the streets, she does not do well with dogs, and we have two. Duchess has a rear leg that has been broken at some point in her life and it has healed but was never properly set. She has a limp but has adjusted and does well. She is healthy, social and very loving. The last of her babies have been adopted and she just needs a hero with a home where she'll be loved and cared for. Won't you consider being her hero?

Story
I was a foster for Corvus & Talitha and they are ready for their forever home. They are a brother and sister duo who love each other very much ! It is best they stay together. They are very cuddly and outgoing and kind with new people. They were born April 12, 2024 so they still have a lot of playfulness and energy. Talitha has a vestibular murmur in her heart she was born with, meaning she needs a calm and peaceful home. Most often cats born with this have longer life spans than those who develop them in life. I keep an eye out for if she starts panting during playtime and that tells me it’s time to rest. Otherwise, she is a loving and magical sweet girl who loves to lay on your lap- especially in the mornings.

These pups are in Aurora, Colorado too!

Story
Lucie is a beautiful, sassy lady. She will walk up to new people right away, but is a little slow to warm when it comes to being pet and snuggling next to you. She is very smart and knows when you aren’t feeling well, and even comes running to see if you’re okay. Lucie currently lives with other cats and although she sometimes plays, she prefers to be alone. That being said, she does enjoy being in the center of a busy room to just observe. She might be able to coexist with another cat as long as they can stand up for themselves. Lucie became extremely unhappy when her family had a tiny human. She does not enjoy children’s curiosities and lack of boundaries. In Lucie’s ideal home, she would be queen bee. If you give her some hair ties, she will probably love you forever! Especially if there’s a sunbeam to lay in when she’s done playing! Born in March 2017. This is a courtesy post. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
