American Shorthair kittens & cats in Ocala, Florida

I picked up Lilo from an animal shelter. She had come from a neglectful home, so it took a long time for her to feel comfortable and begin to be playful and happy. My hope was she would be a good playmate for my original cat. This has not been the case. I am hoping to find her a good home before mid-October, she really is a loveable furr-butt. :)

Loving cat in need of a new home! She doesn't get along with our other dogs/cats. We sadly feel that she would be much happier as a single pet with someone else. She is very friendly with humans, loves to be pet, and purrs very loudly. She is roughly 5-6 years old now and would make a wonderful pet for someone who is looking for only one pet companion in their life.

Turnip was a small baby. The runt of his litter, really. He was so blessed that he found his way into his foster families life. They took great care of him and he has flourished! He is growing up in foster care, though. He is almost a year old ... someone needs to give this guy a chance! He is a playful boy! So smart and such a sweetheart!   Update:  Turnip has become picky with his litter.  He has started having accidents and not using the little box 100% of the time.  Sometimes will poop outside the litter box.  We are working with him to determine what may be causing this. ##1089206##

We rescued Leo about 9 years ago, we are moving out of state and cannot take him with us, he is very loving, likes to be picked up and pet a lot, very talkative and playful.

I got Paya from a rescue when she was a kitty. Paya is 6 years. She loves attention. She needs someone that will sit watch TV and pet her. She loves toys and can play by herself. She is skittish at first when when she trusts you she will want to be with you all the time. She gets along with some cats and some dogs.

taz has a lot of energy very playfull like to be around you.she about 2 years old.

Boo is a clever, sweet and sometimes chatty gal. She cuddles on your lap when you need a friend. She zooms around the house chasing her little mouse toys. She’s an expert huntress, and she catches bugs that dare to enter your home. If a treat bag is touched, she comes running for a snack. She likes to explore outside a little bit, but she mostly stays inside. She is a survivor who used to be a stray. She will be shy of visitors until she gets used to them, and she is not fond of thunder. Her personality is so, so sweet. Boo will make you smile and laugh, because she loves to interact with you in the silliest ways. She’s looking for a family that will love her well.

Hermione is an independent gal... and look at those big beautiful eyes.... She is so sweet and cuddly but wants to be an only child. She is playful with people but doesn't care for other animals

Hi! Meet Olive She is two years old Calico tricolor cat. We found her months ago in our backyard while she was pregnant, we took her in, took care of her and all of her babies that now are being adopted, now we are looking for a family who is willing to take care of Olive and give her the love and life she deserves. She is a very affectionate cat that follows you everywhere and love to be the center of attention :), she will make a great companion specially if you like gardening. Thank you.

This is Aspen; a kitty that was rescued by a good Samaritan, last year. Unable to place her with one of our fosters, we have provided support to the finder while Aspen is in her care. We have a very hard time finding foster homes for adult cats but they need representation and the finders still need help with responsible rehoming. We shared resources with Aspen's finder, early on, in hopes that another organization could help. She followed up on those resources and VOCAL helped by spaying the cat and giving her vaccines. This was where the kitty was named Aspen (which is also our director's name). She needed a name and it was a very sweet gesture to name her after one of our team. And we hope to do right by both Aspen kitty and her finder foster. We have networked her before with no luck. We wanted to bring her story back to light, once more, because she really needs a forever home. Her finder has kept her for 6 months but cannot continue to keep her. She has nowhere to go and the dynamic in the household has shifted a bit. She is causing disturbances among the existing pets in the house and the time has come to relieve the finders. Please share Aspen's pictures and story. She is one of so many ownerless, nameless cats. Left to live a life of hardship on the street. She has been one of the lucky ones, so far. She has had a village behind her between her finder foster, VOCAL - Voices of Change Animal League, Ocala and Quality of Life Rehab & Foster, Inc.
