If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please do not fill out an application if you are not ready to adopt. Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them if adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you

Story
Beans is a 10 year old sweetie pie. We have had her since she was a kitten. She is a tiny cuddler who loves affection and tummy rubs. Unfortunately, she is very nervous around other cats. She is one of three in our home (all of whom we have had since they were kittens.) As she has gotten older, she had gotten more territorial, hissing and fighting with the other cats. We have tried everything to keep the peace and work on this behavior but nothing is working. The other two cats get along great, but are both nervous around Beans, who hisses and lashes out at them. We are heartbroken to come to the decision to rehome her, but the situation is not a happy one for her, the other two cats, or us. Beans is great with children and adults. She likes to sit at the table like a fellow human when we have friends over and will tap you gently on the arm when she wants pets (which is often). She's a wonderful companion and a loving pet.

Peek a boo! Who's that? It's Emmett! Emmett is a shy boy who has not been a fan of shelter life. He's getting braver every day but is still very unsure of people. Emmet is three years old and would do best in a home with another cat to help him adjust and come out of his shell. Story
Daisy Mae is a cautious cat who needs time to adjust and settle into her surroundings. Now that she's comfortable at the shelter, she occasionally seeks out head scratches, and will rub against staff members' legs - but beware - affection is at her discretion and it's wise to respect her boundaries. A patient and quiet home is needed for this regal girl, and Daisy would appreciate being the only animal in the house. Story
Maggie Mae is shy but curious 4 year old spayed female who was brought into us terrified in a massive dog crate. After that traumatizing experience, Maggie has been slow to open up, but she has been making progress! She seeks out treats from us and is interested in our hands when we rest them in the cage, though she's still nervous if we move too quickly. She adores our other cats and will come up to the bars to chirp when we have other cats loose in the room. She's a great girl with a lot of potential who just needs someone who'll be willing to give her that extra bit of work to help her blossom. Maggie Mae is spayed and up to date on her vaccines.
