Story
Andrew and Alexis are siblings born 06/2023. They were part of a feral cat colony in Salem. These guys are like two peas in a pod and must be adopted together. Andrew is a talker. He demands treats. He has a great purr too! Andrew will be shy at first. He loves to play. Andrew is often found on our laps. He does great with our little barky dog. Alexis is our official greeter. He loves to play and is an expert snuggler. He is one of the most social kitties I have ever fostered. Andrew will take longer to adjust, but you can win him over with a laser toy, treats and patience. Having his brother, Alexis, will help Andrew adjust to a new home. PLEASE READ: Adoption fee $100 for adult (over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for Fiv/FELV, microchipped, have received age appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet. Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier. In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application, https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Story
Thor (grey stripped) and Loki (tuxedo) are 9 month old brothers born November 30th 2023. We adopted them after seeing an ad through friends of felines a couple months ago for Thor. When we arrived, we saw Loki with him, curled up next to his brother. We knew we couldn’t separate them so we adopted them together and they have been best friends ever since. They are the sweetest!! We have two children, 4 and 2, and these kittens are so tolerant of them! Loki even became best friends with our 1 year old cowboy corgi. Unfortunately our son is showing signs of an allergy and we need to rehome them quickly. THEY MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER! It would destroy them to be separated. They each come with a crate. They also come with self feeder and water bowls, an extra large litter box, scoop and litter mat (washed and sanitized) if the adopters wish to have them. They will also come with the micro chip information and everything that was given to us by friends of felines.
