Story
Apollo came to us as a stray, and we believe he was once someone’s companion who was unfortunately dumped. Despite his past, Apollo is a very sweet and loving boy who is ready to find a family to call his own. This high-energy Staffy loves to stay active – whether he’s chewing on a bone or chasing after a ball, he’s always ready for some fun! True to his breed, Apollo thinks he’s a lap dog and will happily climb into your lap whenever he gets the chance. He firmly believes, “If I fit, I sit!” Apollo’s adoption fee covers his vaccines, microchip, and neuter, so he’s all ready to start his new life with you. If you’re looking for a fun, playful companion who’s ready to keep up with your active lifestyle and loves to snuggle up when it’s time to relax, Apollo could be the perfect match for you! Story
He is a sweet guy. He snuggles, gives kisses, loves going after balls, loves chewy toys. He tears up any of his toys that are soft but won’t touch the kids stuffed animals. He has an established routine and is really good with it. Kids love on him a lot. He’s great with going in his kennel during the day. Loves car rides and laser lights. He does get concerned about people at the door but does settle down once guests are inside. Needs some training with that to learn some manners to allow guests to come in and not jump on them or bark at them. He also would need some training if any dogs or people approach the car as he loves his people and guards the surroundings like any good dog. He does tend to be stubborn at times and doesn’t want people to physically move him but he will move with a firm command. I would recommend a man in the home to establish with Titus who is in charge unless you are an experienced female owner. I’m including kennel in adoption.

Story
- Can be shy at first, but loves people and is a total velcro dog once she knows you - Has a goofy personality and loves to cuddle - Loves to explore - Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home - May take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro recommended) All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 53 Age: 2yrs 6mths 4wks

Story
Reese is a sweet 2.5-year-old, 66-pound terrier mix with the most beautiful light tan coat. Reese is quite the snuggle bug! She lives for scritches and snoot kisses. She’s officially house broken and kennel trained. Reese has picked up on appropriate manners at meal time (her second favorite time of day) and basic commands. She’s shy around new people, but quickly warns up if they offer pets or cheese. She loves to play and wrestle before taking a good nap. She’s not a chewer, but does love to carry her stuffies around. She’s been fascinated by the guinea pig, she’ll sit and watch her for hours, but has never been aggressive towards her. Our cats have steered clear of her, but she hasn’t shown much interest in them. She needs a good home with a playmate and a decent yard or daily walks. She’d be the perfect family dog, she’s very loving and gentle.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.March 20, 2025, 6:07 am
