Story
Jazmine was rescued from an abusive situation at 5 months old. She has been around the other two dogs in the picture. She began fighting with the light colored dog about 1 year ago. We keep them separated. She is friends with the boxer/pit, they’re the same age. She does not like or has been socialized with many people. Mainly myself and her owner. She wears a muzzle around other people and animals, no kids. She has been around cats. She recently was out on Prozac to try and keep her calm and maybe mellow her out. Now she seems timid and is not wanting to engage with their younger dog. She needs a single pet home, cats ok. No children!!! If she is around adults outside of owner I would definitely muzzle her, vet visits also, recommend sedated visits. We have an ill family member that needs to move in with us and we now can’t have all the dogs. She is reactive to others so that is why I’m suggesting a rehome where she can be the only pet. She does great on her own.

Story
Hannah was at Lousiana shelter most of her young life.  She is now 4 years old and around 45 lbs. It has taken us this long to get her to the point where she is adoptable. The shelter left her in a kennel 24/7. When she was removed from the kennel for cleaning, they put her on a catchpole with slip loop around her neck and dragged her from place to place. It took us this long to get her to trust us, accept a collar and leash. She is very unsocialized and although she will eventually come to love and trust her adopter, she will run from strangers until she gets to know them . HANNAH was rescued from Louisiana. Hannah is a very loveable and sweet girl. It took us over a year to make her a house dog. She preferred to stay in our kennel area or outside.  She is still a work in progress, however she has grown into a confident homebody that love to sit in her fosters chair.  She would probably do best in a home without another dog. She loves to pester dogs, she never learned how to play with other dogs as a puppy.  With dogs that are older or smaller she can show an alpha side. However she has zero aggression in her. She is well behaved in the house.. She probably won't come to you at first, but treats are the way to her heart.  She is calm and once she trusts you she wants to just be by your side. She is okay in the car, however she is not a dog that would want to visit new places, and she won't walk on a leash unless she has to, such as going to vet etc. She did go to daycare and the staff there said she did great, getting her inside was not the easiest as she had to walk through a large parking lot, through many cars that were parked or moving. She is not a city dog and a quiet life is best for her.  Hannah is available under our Foster to Adopt Program.  A secure fenced in back yard is needed, and someone who is home more and has the time to give her the love and companionship she never had. Children should be over the age of 8 years old. She never goes in a crate, and she does not need one. She can free roam when your not home. She does not chew, and is housebroken. We will only consider applications within 50 miles of Grovertown, Indiana so we can assist the adopter with her transition and bring her to your home for a visit. Her adoption fee is $100. Hannah is spayed/ vaccinated and microchipped.  For more information on our Foster to Adopt Program go to this link https://indianasaveadog.com/foster-to-adopt ##1908388##

Story
We have had Gaia since she was 8 weeks old (April 2016). Her bday is 2/29/16. She's been an exceptional companion, security and fur family member. She loves walks, tennis balls, toys and giving hugs and snuggling. She has grown up with three older children for the last 7 years who are now young adults. She is our only pet. She's an amazing nurse and cuddler. She has never attacked a human but is also appropriately protective. Her dog relations are very minimal. Not her strong suit. She does require a close eye at times with open doors and on walks but nothing abnormal. This will be a major transition for us as well and we sincerely hope she can live out her remaining years in a loving, supportive, fun home. She deserves nothing but the best. A home with no other pets is highly recommended as it has just been her.
