STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Meet Hazelnut – Your New Best Friend! This sweet girl is ready to meet her forever family! Hazelnut has been an incredible mama to her ten babies, and now it’s her turn to be spoiled and loved. She’s about 45lbs—just the right size to be your adventure buddy and your lap dog! Dog-Friendly – She does great with other dogs with proper introductions. Loving Companion – Hazelnut always wants to be near you and would love to snuggle up as your lap pet. ‍&#226&#153&#128&#239&#184&#143 Active & Fun – Whether you’re up for an adventure or a lazy day at home, she’s happy to join in! &#226&#156&#133 Ready to Go – Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped! Hazelnut is an all-around amazing girl who will bring so much love and joy into your home. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, she’s the one! She is potty trained, crates trained, and eager to learn and is very food motivated. Fill out an adoption application today and set up a meet-and-greet: www.linktr.ee/starescue Let’s find Hazelnut the perfect home she deserves. All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter! Meet Rip This handsome boy sure is a comparison to the famous Rip on Yellowstone! He is the whole package as far as personality and looks! Rip arrived at Tuscola AC last summer as stray and has been waiting for a 2nd chance to find his forever family! PAR volunteers say he is cuddly, sweet, adorable and the perfect dog! Rip loves everyone he meets and loves to lean into you for bum rubs! Rip is on the chill side, loves to lounge in bed, enjoys car rides and want to be in your lap for pets! Rip is not a fan of cats or small dogs. He likes dogs his size so medium to large would be good for him. A Meet and Greet is required if there is another dog in the home. UTD on Vaccines Neutered Microchipped Children 8+ NO cats Crate and House trained No out of state adoptions https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html *Please note that all meet and greets are during our open hours, Saturdays 10am-1pm, or you may request an appointment on other days by emailing adopt@parpets.org. Story
My name is Teddy and I am a very sweet boy that loves to cuddle with my person. I get along with other dogs and kids. I am not good with cats or small animals as I do have a strong prey drive. I would love a fenced yard where I can bask in the sun and maybe chase a squirrel now and then. I do have a little bit of separation anxiety and am working on that in my foster home. If you want to be my best friend apply today!!! I promise you will love me!!Please check out our adoption process & on-line application here: https://www.newhopepetrescue.com/Adoption Fee for dogs cover the following vetting:1. Story
**in a foster home and not at the kennel** Howdy, folks! Name’s Yeehaw! I ain’t your ordinary dog, no siree! My life is like a comedy show, full of twists and turns. So, how did I end up here? Well, I was playing fetch with a donut. Yes, a donut! I ran into a police station, thinking it was a game. Next thing I know, I am being escorted to the shelter. Can you believe that? They thought I was a donut thief! I was just hungry. Now I’m looking for a new home, where the food is plenty and the love never ends. If you are up for some fun, laughter, and endless games of fetch then I’m your dog! I’m super friendly and like other dogs. I am not much for long walks. I prefer fun and games. Sadly, fun and games is what got me here in the first place. Some structure and consistency in my world would be great for me! My mugshot doesn’t say it but I’m about 2 years old and around 40 Lbs. Since I now have a record as a thief (I plead the fifth!), I will need an adult only home who can help me work on trading instead of stealing food and treats! If you got what I need to help me change my ways and keep me on the straight and narrow path then come meet me! I’ll be in my jail cell at k9. Feel free to pre-submit an application for me at k9stray.com and one of my wardens will contact you. *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*
