Story
Have dog experience and like adorable yet quirky? That’s our Mia! Mia adores her people and her furry foster siblings. If you love bully breeds and a fun personality, this 1.5 year old 52 pound girl is just for you! Mia was originally a stray and then in a high kill shelter in OK when an animal welfare advocate decided she deserved a second chance to know life and love, so she made her way to Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska in Omaha. Although she has lived with children in her foster home and loves them, we prefer no children in the resident home as she does get the zoomies and may knock them down inadvertently. In addition, we’d prefer dog savvy adopters that understand dog body language. When she wants alone time like a girl does sometimes, she will let you know. Kind of like a moody girlfriend... Mia has lived with dogs from 35 pounds to over 150 pounds and has done great with all of them. She listens to dog cues and expects the same of them and to not get in her face. She does need a proper introduction with a nice long butt-sniff session. If you have a resident dog that doesn’t appreciate that, Mia is not for you. She absolutely adores her people, loves her chew bones and running around the yard, so she MUST go to a home with a fenced in backyard to get her hilarious zoomies out. She is crate and potty trained. Mia is also very smart, redirects easily and loves to learn. Spending time with her while working on tricks and commands is a great bonding experience! This girl loves love and wants to be your best friend and lap dog. Just remember when she walks away, she wants down time, especially at night when she’s tired; however,  just respect her space and worth all she loves she will give her you could want in a best friend! Mia is spayed, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, inside only and ready to find her BFF! Please apply at www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org ADOPTION DONATION: $325  PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! January 7, 2025, 2:40 am

Story
Sailor, an American Staffordshire Terrier, was taken in as a stray by a vet clinic in Holden, KS where she gave birth to eight beautiful puppies in September. Sailor's estimated birthday is March 31, 2022. Sailor is currently thriving in her foster home where she enjoys ice cubes, peanut butter, and playing with her human kiddos. When she hears "night night," she knows that it's bedtime, and this little smartie gets right in her kennel with a small treat.  She also knows "wait" and "gentle."  When playing fetch, she sits politely without being told.  When relaxing, Sailor enjoys watching the dog channels on YouTube.  We've learned that Sailor doesn't like loud noises, which seems to be her only negative trait. We predict that Sailor will be a valued addition to some lucky family. The suggested adoption fee for Sailor is $365.  Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##1838312##

Story
Meet Cyrus, the delightful  Staffordshire Terrier Mini Australian Shepherd mix born 4/30/23 and weighing in at 50 pounds. Cyrus is a clever and potty-trained pup, always eager to learn new tricks for a tasty treat.  Cyrus's unique blend of breeds brings together the agility of an Australian Shepherd and the charm of a Staffordshire Terrier, making him the perfect companion for both shopping sprees and cozy evenings at home.Although initially reserved, once he trusts you, he transforms into a Velcro dog, sticking by your side with unwavering loyalty.  Cyrus was one of nine puppies born to Mama Ember who was brought to Nebraska after being dumped in the country in Oklahoma, she made it here just in time to deliver her babies in the safety of her foster home. There were some complications due to a breech puppy and Ember ended up being rushed to the vet for an emergency c-section for the delivery of her last two pups. Her breech baby didn’t make it but the remaining nine babies are thriving under her care! The suggested adoption fee for Cyrus is $365. Bullies-N-Beyond ResQ is a non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR are adopted with DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already spayed or neutered if old enough, or a voucher will be provided once the dog becomes of age. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis.
