Story
Bear is a special boy. He requires a lot of love and patience. He is still young at the age of 1.5 years old. Bear is full of energy. He loves to run, play with his hard rubber toys, and especially cuddle with his people. He is a bit clingy at first because of how much he loves being around everyone. He is excellent with other dogs and cats. He is also great with people of any age. He hasn't had much exposure to young children but I'm sure with how well he does with adults and older kids, he will do just fine with little ones. Bear is beyond adorable and looking for a more stable home right now. He will become family as soon as you meet him. He is a little love and just wants the perfect home. Unfortunately due to our situation, our landlord is now requesting that no dogs to be allowed in the apartments. We cannot make a move right now and bear deserves the world. Give this boy a chance. You wont regret it. PS: he loves car rides and adventures wherever he goes.

Story
Oakley is shy, playfull, and affectionate. He is also a country dog with occasional exposer to the city. The ideal human for Oakley is someone with confidense who is not affraid to give Oakley bounderies. Otherswise, he will never leave your bed or sofa... Temperment, if you are looking for a security dog- forget about it. This dog looks like a guard dog but thats all. If an intruder were to break into your home, all they would have to do is pet him. He melts when ANYONE gives him attention and will not stop seeking attention till they push him away- he is very clingy. Although he is 4 years old, he is absolutley still stuck in puppy mode. Special needs, Oakley is scared of a lot. He is skittish, so he must be kept on a leash in unfamiliar places when outside. He is afraid of loud noises and he will not walk by anything that looks like it may fall (hanging pots and pans, a box on the edge of a counter).

Story
Ophelia is a very special dog here at Rosebud Rescue and has been with us for over a year while we worked with her, and she is finally ready to find her perfect forever home. Ophelia is 100% deaf and because of this will ONLY be available on a foster-to-adopt basis for a minimum of 3 months to ensure it is the perfect fit. Ophelia is around 3.5 years old and just under 50lbs. She can be a tiny bit shy at first but will smother you in kisses in no time! She loves attention, toys, and playing with other dogs, but will mirror them and match their energy level. She is incredibly smart and knows several hand signals for training commands, and really loves it when you find ways to communicate with her! She is trained to report to you with the flash of a light, so recall from the yard or other side of the room is a breeze. She cannot live with cats or uncaged small animals due to her prey drive. She is crate trained but can be a bit vocal and would rather be confined to a room when left, though she doesn't have a tendency to get into things she shouldn't have. Ophelia has a history of getting overstimulated in new situations, which turned into anxious energy and an unfocused dog. She was recently started on generic Prozac and it has really helped to manage this. It is affordable and easy to administer, a potential adopter would need to keep her on this medication. While adventures outside of the house are still a work in progress, she has made a lot of improvement over the last 2 months or so! She does walk on a gentle leader, but is a VERY strong dog so someone who can handle her weight while out and about and continue working on loose leash walking is a must. We know little about Ophelia's past other than it appears she had many litters of puppies in her short life before she got to us. It is unknown if her missing ear was due to an injury or a failed crop job. She will cower if you move too fast or pick up an object, leading us to believe she wasn't treated very well. She was passed around to a few different owners before she ended up with us after seeing a plea from a good samaritan who took her in but could not keep her long term after seeing her posted on Craigslist for rehoming, with the reason that they couldn't call her in from the yard! Ophelia is looking for a home without young children due to her size and energy level. NO CATS. A fully fenced yard is required, and she thrives in the company of dogs so there must be at least another resident dog in the home. If a very special adopter with no dogs is ready for 2, she has plenty of adoptable friends here as well! Ophelia is accepting applications and is currently available for meet and greets with approved adopters! If you’re interested in adopting her or getting pre-approved for our other dogs, please fill out the adoption application at www.RosebudRescue.com/adopt

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say Hi to Charlie! He was found locally as a stray and not claimed by owners.    Charlie is food motivated and loves all people.  Charlie met an eight year old girl and was very appropriate - takes treats so gently! He's gentle and mellow. Charlie loves to run around outside, play with toys, and roll in the grass. Charlie also loves to give high fives! Charlie is not crate trained, but he does not need to be. He will sleep, relax, or play with his toys while you’re away. He prefers to be with his humans while they’re home. He loves to sleep on the couch or lay in the sun. Charlie is house broken and will go to the door and bark when he needs to go out.  Charlie currently would do best as the only pet in the home.  He is searching for a foster home, or better yet, his furever! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say Hello to Tiny!  Don’t let his name fool you. He is not ”Tiny” in size nor personality! This sweet boy is looking for a foster, or better yet, his furever home. Tiny LOVES people! He enjoys walks, playtime, snuggles & toys; he's kinda famous for emptying the toy box at boarding, lol. He's well behaved on car rides & is always up for an outing for a pupcup or a nature hike. He is very treat motivated, so working with him on basic training has been a breeze for our volunteers. He's still working on mastering his lessons on manners & would benefit from conitnued training in a home setting. He’s a big guy and does jump when excited so no kids under 8 for him as he could definitely knock a small human over without meaning to.  We have not been able to socialize him with other dogs quite yet but he has been non reactive on leash. And even though we have not cat tested him, his energy would likely be too much for a kitty.  This super sweet boy loves belly rubs and attention and is so darn sweet! He’d make a great addition to any family!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Dulce is a very friendly and fun-loving gal. She is extremely social with all people and all animals, but she really lights up when there are kids around. She can be a bit too in your face at times.... but she's still young and inquisitive. She is learning boundaries along with tons of other commands since she's a very smart cookie. And even though her videos show her happy, active side she definitely knows how to chill out and cuddle.
