Story
**Meet Winston!** Meet Winston, your future running, hiking, and adventure buddy! This energetic yet well-behaved boy is ready to hit the trails with you, and we believe he’ll settle beautifully into a loving home. While Winston has some energy, we think he’ll become more of a medium-energy dog once he’s away from the shelter environment. He’s attentive and responsive to his humans, making him a joy to train. Treat motivated and eager to learn, Winston already knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and roll over! His enthusiasm for training sessions means you’ll bond quickly as you work together. Although he may initially be hesitant about getting in the car, Winston rides exceptionally well once he’s on board. He’s also highly toy motivated, which will aid in his training and keep him engaged. While he doesn’t love baths, he’s tolerant and allows you to wash him while clearly expressing his displeasure—just look at that adorable “woe is me” face! After some playtime and once he’s settled from kennel stress, Winston is all about cuddles and affection. He’d thrive in a home with elementary-aged children or older, due to his size and goofy personality. He has shown positive interest in canine companions, but has not yet been dog tested at the shelter. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

Story
Hi, meet Luna! She is an American Stafford terrier, an American Pitbull Terrier, and a German shepherd mix puppy. She is 10 months old and she is looking for a new home. She was born on March 20th, 2024. and I adopted her in the middle of June 2024. She is the most energetic, attention-seeking, and playful dog in the world. I love her to death, but unfortunately due to my new job, I can't spend time with her as I used to. She is a puppy that requires attention because she can get a bit of anxiety if she is left on her own for too long. She deserves to be free more and deserves a family that will give her nothing but love and affection. She means the world to me and breaks my heart that I have to give her away. I hope to still keep in contact with her future owner so I can continue to see her whenever I get the availability to do so. I would love to provide any information for anyone serious about adopting her.

Story
This is max! I rescued him after he was left behind during a snow storm, I am currently fostering him until I find a forever home. He is a sweet and caring dog, no signs of resource guarding or aggression, interacts well with other dogs ( I have 2) and does not bark, jump or dig to escape lol I am unfortunately unable to take him in permanently because of limited space and my other animals. Max would do best in a home with other friendly dogs or as the only pet, but he does have a tendency to scare cats with his high energy friendship haha! although he has calmed down to them over the past 3 weeks. This furry dude deserves a loving family and needs your help to find it! ❤️
