Story
Teyana wants to be a part of whatever her people are doing. At one year old, she is a tail-wagging, happy-go-lucky girl who is great with younger kids and cats. Teyana lives in a foster home with two cats and two kids (five and nine). She sleeps in the kids' room at night. And to top it all off, she is also dog friendly. Teyana was a rock star in doggie play groups when she was at the shelter. Teyana’s energy level is generally low. She loves hanging out and snoozing on the couch, but she also enjoys long nature walks and exploring. She wants to say hi to everyone she encounters on walks, including dogs. She gets excited meeting new people or when first let out of her crate. There's some jumping around adults, but she listens when you tell her “down.” Teyana just wants you to get on her level so she can have hugs. No jumping required for tiny people because they are the perfect height for a gentle kiss! She takes treats gently and doesn't barrel through the house or knock people down. Teyana is working on “sit”, “wait”, “down”, and “leave it,” and mastering them quickly. She is a good listener and takes directions well. She does not beg, though she will give you sad eyes and try to persuade you but gives up and lays down. She has not been destructive in her foster home despite having a run of the house. Any family would be lucky to have this sweet girl. She is just content to be near her people, roll around in the grass, and show her belly for rubs.
