Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Main Email CARE (caretoadopt@gmail.com), (803) 622-9813 for more information about this pet. The most accurate and up to date information about adoptable pets is on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org. American Bully/Staffordshire TerrierWaylon was rescued & adopted by a woman who sadly passed away soon after. He was surrendered to CARE by her family. He does well in a crate, walks well on leash, loves car rides, and is house trained. Waylon is food motivated & has learned to take treats gently. He is smart and does well with training. Waylon would do best with an adult and as the only pet, no kids. He's sweet & playful, but used to resource guard toys & doesn't know his own strength sometimes. He can be protective of his person and home. He should be crated when company visits or work is being done on the house. He should not be introduced to people in his yard or home. Most likely, after a long period of bonding and building confidence in his home, Waylon will be able to have company and understand they aren't taking his person or home away from him. Waylon loves an adventure, loves to be loved on, & keeps his nose to the ground often (would excel at nose work!). This sweet pea is also quite happy relaxing by himself or snuggling on the couch with his person.Adoption Fee: $75 Waylon is currently living in a boarding facility. The staff love him dearly and try to spend extra time with him whenever they can. He deserves a forever family. He is heartworm negative. A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. Out of state adoptions okay. All dogs receive a distemper/parvovirus vaccine(s), kennel cough vaccine, rabies vaccine, dewormer, monthly heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention and treatment if needed, microchip, and are spayed/neutered through CARE.The most accurate and complete information about available dogs can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org. Breeds are sometimes known, but sometimes our best educated guess.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.www.caretoadopt.org Adoption saves lives! Story
Duncan is on the hunt for a forever home where he can truly shine as the perfect furry companion. He's the ideal match for a single lady who wants a loyal sidekick that will have her back no matter what. Duncan's loyalty knows no bounds, and he's not afraid to show his protective side (in a manageable way, of course). While he may have his own unique way of warming up to new people, rest assured that I'll guide you through the process - it's a piece of cake! This dreamboat of a dog will show you what true loyalty really means unlike that ex boyfriend of yours. Duncan is a well-behaved dapper dog. He is both crate and house trained. He interacts well with older children, but he tends to forget his own strength and can be overwhelming for younger kids. Despite this, he has a good grasp of basic commands, although he may pretend not to understand at first (he's smart enough to test boundaries). Duncan has a fondness for blankets in his crate, but he tends to shred when feeling anxious or frustrated. He remains calm and composed during loud noises such as storms, fireworks, or gunshots. Duncan has been trained to wear a muzzle, although it requires proper adjustment to prevent him from slipping it off with his almost non-existent ears. However, he willingly wears it during his visits to the vet. Once the muzzle is on, he becomes serious and knows how to behave, causing no trouble and keeping his handsome self in check. While at the vet I kindly request the them to place any items/paperwork they need to hand me on the table for me to pickup, as Duncan is particular about people invading his and his handlers personal space. While he and his handler can enter others bubble, it's strictly a one-way street for him. Additionally, he seems to have a preference for seeing one specific veterinarian, and unsurprisingly, he tends to prefer female veterinarians. Duncan does need to be the only dog in the home although he is dog friendly in supervised small group play sessions. He does not however like short hair small black male dogs. Small black female dogs no problem, long hair black males... Again no problem. Not exactly sure why he's that way but its one of his quirks. He is unfortunately not feline friendly so no kitties please. Duncan has been in search of a foster home or a forever home since October 24th, 2022. It's hard to believe, but he has been patiently waiting for over 595 days now. Unfortunately, his journey began on a rather unfortunate note. He was discovered after being abandoned, and to make matters worse, his ears had been brutally mutilated. The person responsible for his care had done a terrible chop job, severing his ears and crudely stitching them up using fishing string. We explored the possibility of correcting this pitful situation, but due to the minimal amount of ear tissue remaining, removing the fishing string would leave him with no ears at all. This would undoubtedly lead to chronic ear infections, causing him even more suffering. Currently, Duncan doesn't experience any issues with ear infections, as long as he is kept away from the rain and not left outside for extended periods during humid weather. Despite his past hardships, Duncan remains hopeful and eagerly awaits a loving home where he can finally find the happiness and care he truly deserves. If my house wasn't already bursting at the seams, I would definitely keep him forever. However, I want him to have the opportunity to live a life that he has only ever dreamed of, where he is the absolute center of someone's world. A life where he receives unlimited love, cuddles, kisses, and can sleep in a cozy bed. I have personally sponsored his adoption fee because I don't want something as trivial as money to be the reason he has to wait another year or even longer to find his happiness. I will be extremely selective when it comes to finding him the perfect home, so please keep that in mind before applying. He is an extraordinary dog, but in the wrong hands, I truly believe he could be failed by his adopter easily. For anyone interested in adopting him, there will be a 30-day to 60-day foster-to-adopt trial period. As always, you will need to come and meet him in person (possibly more than once), as we do not ship dogs to adopters without seeing them first, as that can lead to unfortunate outcomes.

Meet Kol * Foster To Adopt Needed We have a group of adorable puppies that are currently in need of rescue. Normally, these puppies would be placed in foster homes while they go through their vetting process. However, due to the current animal welfare crisis, we are experiencing a shortage of available foster homes. As a result, we have come up with a slightly different approach and are searching for foster to adopt homes. This new arrangement allows us to complete their vetting procedures in the homes they will eventually be staying in, rather than having to move them from a foster home to a forever home. These puppies are not only incredibly cute, but they are also highly intelligent. One of their siblings is already in a foster to adopt home and has learned commands such as sit, lie down, and shake. Additionally he is friendly towards cats, dogs, and children as he was introduced to all of them properly and did wonderful! These sweethearts have immense potential and all they need is an opportunity to show you just how sweet and intelligent they truly are.

Story
&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Hey there, it's Buddy here, and I've got a heartwarming tale to share with you! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Life hasn't always been a walk in the park for me, but despite facing some tough times, I've never lost my sweet and loving nature. I'm a shining example of resilience and hope, and I'm here to prove that with a little love and patience, anything is possible. I may be young, but I've already overcome so much in my journey. And let me tell you, I'm stronger because of it. When I'm not chasing my tail or playing fetch, you'll find me cuddled up with my favorite squeaky toy, dreaming of the day I find my forever family. I'm a social butterfly who loves making new friends, both human and canine. There's nothing I enjoy more than a good belly rub or a game of tug-of-war with my favorite human. And don't even get me started on treats—I'll do just about anything for a tasty snack! While I may not be suitable for small animals like cats or tiny dogs, and it's important that my new family understands my breed, I promise I'm worth every ounce of love and attention. I'm very active and I can be a bit mouthy at times, but I'll never shy away from showering you with kisses and tail wags. I've already been neutered and I'm ready to embark on the next chapter of my life with a loving family by my side. So, what do you say? Ready to be a part of my story and fall in love with an amazing dog like me? Let's make it happen! The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm prevention, medication (if needed), spay or neuter surgery, collar, ID tag, and a leash. A $35 (non-refundable) deposit will hold the pet for you for 5 days. For more information about adopting me, please contact the shelter at 803-536-3918 or email at aro.spca@outlook.com.
