She came into our care with hair loss and bite wounds. The vet believes she was being used as a bait dog. She spent two months under vet care recovering from her wounds and getting her hair back! Grace is quiet, calm, and crate trained. She loves to be with her person. She is dog friendly, kind, and affectionate. She is looking for her forever home to continue healing from her awful past! This pet was abandoned with us when the owner moved more than 1000 miles and suffered a mental breakdown. We thought we would only foster home this dog for a few weeks, but the owner is no longer able to handle any dogs due to his bad health. Please help him by adopting his pet. Thanks very much. Meet Thelma, a 7-year old red nosed pittie who just wants be somebody’s baby! The good: Thelma is a very smart and very sweet girl. She has learned commands very quickly and currently knows sit, wait, shake, lie down, off, out, gentle, and bang! (play dead). She walks well on a leash. She loves to play fetch and tug of war, run around the yard, and cuddle up with you on the couch! She is great with older kids. She is house and crate trained. The not-so-good: After COVID isolation, Thelma developed some pretty bad dog and barrier aggression. More recently, she has started to show signs of uneasiness around our 11 month-old and has developed a feud with one of our cats (though the cat started it). She has also started jumping our chain-link fence. Thelma would make a wonderful companion to someone as their only dog, or for someone who has the time and resources to train her and work on her behavioral issues. We want her to have the best life she can, it’s just not with us anymore :(
