Story
Moski is a 2 year old, male, Mastiff mix who is available for adoption at CCHS. He was brought to us because his previous owner became ill and could no longer take care of him. He has a lot of energy and loves to play outside. This boy would do best with a family familiar with mastiff's and handling a dog so large. Once he's all tuckered out he is very sweet and loves cuddles. If you are interested please come by to meet his big love bug.
Are you interested in adopting Moski? Submit an adoption application for him at the link below, then call us at 217-344-7297 to make your application active:

Once your application has been made active, we will begin processing it the following day. Upon approval of your adoption request for Moski, an adoption counselor will contact you to arrange an in-person meet and greet with Moski and one of our staff members.
If you have any specific questions about Moski, do not hesitate to call us at 217-344-7297. Thank you for your interest in providing our special boy with a forever home!
Moski is a STAFF FAVORITE pet! Here's what our volunteer coordinator, Sarah has to say about him:
Moski is an incredibly loving, smart, determined, hard-working, and all-around special dog. He adores cuddling and playing, though, at times, his excitement has gotten the best of him, especially when he’s around the people he loves most. As an XL dog, his enthusiasm has sometimes led to joyful (but unintentional) airborne moments for his favorite handlers. Because of his size and boundless affection, we knew we needed to help Moski refine his manners. Not to dampen his spirit, but to make sure his joy was shared in a way that kept everyone on their feet.
Through this journey, I’ve learned that Moski would do absolutely anything for a treat, thrives on positive reinforcement, and is one of the fastest learners I’ve ever worked with. One of my favorite things about him is watching his forehead scrunch up in deep concentration as he works out exactly what he needs to do to earn his reward. It’s moments like those that make you realize just how much heart and soul he puts into everything he does. He has worked so hard to channel his enthusiasm in the right ways, proving time and time again how dedicated he is — not just to learning, but to finding his forever family.
Moski is truly one of a kind. His resilience, intelligence, and affectionate nature have left an undeniable mark on my heart, and I have no doubt that he will do the same for whoever is lucky enough to bring him home. Without a doubt, working with Moski has been the highlight of my years at CCHS, and I will always be grateful for the time I’ve spent with him. If you take a chance on Moski, I know he will amaze you just as he has amazed me.
