Story
Hey there! My name is Blossom, the second born in my litter and, let’s be honest, probably the best-behaved. Don’t tell my brothers and sister I said that—they’ve got enough energy to power a small town, and I prefer to keep things a bit more chill. Sure, I’ll join in the fun and tumble around with them, but I’m also perfectly happy exploring the yard on my own, taking in all the sights and smells like the independent little lady I am. I like to think I bring a bit of calm and grace to the bunch! I’m like the responsible sibling who makes sure nobody chews on the wrong shoes. I was born in October 2024, and I'm a delightful mix of Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. I'm a sweetheart through and through, always ready to shower you with love and affection. If you’re looking for a puppy with a dash of curiosity, a sprinkle of independence, and a whole lot of love, I just might be your girl! Blossom will need obedience training as she gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, she will need someone who can be home with her a lot and provide her with love, patience and boundaries to help her become a loyal companion. She loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as her mentor as she continues to understand the rules of her new world. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6206. PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS. Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered. Adoption fee: $450 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350. The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350. GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. As always, our purpose is to find the best match for every unique dog that comes through our doors. Taking the time to find the right fit comes first and foremost at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. If you are interested in adopting, please take the time, and apply. You will see firsthand how much care, attention and love goes into the process, when you are guided a personal screener. This is why we have people come back again and again for their next family member! See all our dogs, fill out an application and discover why we are the BEST at placing the right dog in the right home! https://gprs.rescuegroups.org/. ADOPTION, FOSTERING, AND DONATIONS are just some of the ways you can help a rescued dog. We have worked hard to cultivate a large network of volunteers to save this majestic breed. While monetary donations are always much appreciated, you can also help by donating your time as a GPRS foster or volunteer. Story
Hi! My name is Beau, but my foster mom likes to call me "Big Boy" because I was the firstborn pup in my litter. As a puppy with both Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees in my DNA, I'm destined to grow into my big paws, and let me tell you, I've got a personality to match! I was born in October 2024, and I'm what you'd call a natural in front of the camera—I always look like I'm smiling in photos. But my photogenic charm isn't just for show; it's a sneak peek into my cheerful and playful spirit. I’m genuinely living my best life! I absolutely love running around the yard like a fluffy little rocket, playing to my heart's content. And just when you think I'm tuckered out and ready to flop, I’ll surprise you with another burst of energy because, hey, life is too short to sit still! I’d love a forever home with plenty of space for me to stretch these paws and show off my moves. I’m a fun little guy and I promise to keep you smiling just as much as I do! Think we’d be a good match? Come meet me and let’s find out! Beau will need obedience training as he gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, he will need someone who can be home with him a lot and provide him with love, patience and boundaries to help him become a loyal companion. Story
Hi there! I’m Bijou, the baby of the litter and just as beautiful as my name suggests. I’m also perhaps the most energetic one of the bunch—I like to think of myself as the spark plug of the family. I’m feisty, fun, and always on the move, whether I’m running laps around the yard or exploring every nook and cranny I can find, making sure no stick goes unnoticed. While I do love teaming up with my sister Blossom for some sisterly adventures, I’m just as happy going solo to check out the world around me. I was born in October 2024, and I’ve got energy for days, so I’d love a forever home with plenty of space for my zoomies and all my curious wanderings. If you’re looking for a cute, spunky girl to keep you on your toes (and keep a smile on your face), I’m your gal! Bijou will need obedience training as she gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, she will need someone who can be home with her a lot and provide her with love, patience and boundaries to help her become a loyal companion. Story
Hey there! I’m Biscotti, the third-born in my litter but currently rocking the title of Biggest Pup on the Block. Have you seen these paws? I was born in October 2024, a mix of Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees, and I’m well on my way to becoming a future gentle giant. I’m also the most talkative of the bunch, so if you’re looking for a conversationalist, I’m your guy. Whether it’s a little bark, a playful woof, or just some good old puppy chatter, I’ve always got something to say! I have a goofy, fun-loving side, and my absolute favorite thing in life is to run around and play with my siblings. I have a ton of energy and would do best in a home with lots of space for me to run and explore. But I’ve got a soft side, too—my foster mom says that sometimes I’m a little more sensitive than my siblings, which just means I have an extra big heart to go with my extra big paws. Hey, even tough guys need a cuddle now and then!  Here's the kicker: I'm an adorable little guy with a face you simply can't resist. So, if you're looking for a playful and chatty pup with a soft side, I'm your man! Are you ready to add a little Biscotti sweetness to your life? Biscotti will need obedience training as he gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, he will need someone who can be home with him a lot and provide him with love, patience and boundaries to help him become a loyal companion.
