Story
adoption donation $599 weight: 45 lbs Age: 2 years     Precious lives up to her name. She is a sweet and friendly dog who loves to run and play. Precious has been with the rescue for quite a while, she was treated for heartworm, but is negative now. She gets very excited when people visit, she would absolutely love a family of her own where she can play with other dogs.         Precious is an active girl, her tail is always wagging and she always looks like she’s smiling!  She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and is spayed. She is housebroken but like any rescue dog she may need some guidance says she adjust to a new home.    We really aren’t sure of her breed, she seems to have some shepherd and maybe some Shibu Inu, when we put her pictures into a Dog Scanner app she comes up with all sorts of breeds  most of which we’ve never heard of! What we do know is that Precious is a really awesome dog!     Wags is a registered 501 C3, it is a struggling rescue in Mississippi where one woman cares for almost 150 homeless dogs. Adoption donations are our only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fees include the transport, vaccines, spay or neuter.   For more information, please email Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  August 19, 2024, 7:04 am

Story
Ricardo is a young Antolian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 70 lbs. He is a great dog. He loves kids and all humans. He is good with dogs but can be selective with males. Ricardo was found running the streets of Philly and ended up in a high intake shelter because another rescue was negligent in placing him in a home and never checked out the "adopter" very well. We got the call that he was in the shelter and because our microchip was planted we reclaimed Ricardo. He has been in a foster home with a close friend and also board member. He has been really good with the kids in the home, he has been also been good with the other dogs but can be selective with the male dogs in the home. He has done well with the one male pittie in the home. He hates the cats. He loves to be outside and fights to come inside. Ricardo loves the water and will lay in the baby pool and soak. He also loves to share the bed but he hogs most of the bed ##1734780##

Story
Tallulah is a beautiful 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepard mix. She is extremely loving, playful, and intelligent and loves cuddles and belly scratches. She was raised on our farm to be a livestock guardian dog. We are selling our farm, and we need to find the right home for T. We believe she would do well with land, another dog buddy, or possibly an older LGD to learn from. She has scared many a coyote away from our farm but still needs some training/support to not play with goats. Not sure if she will ever be a chicken guardian (at least in the same area). Tallulah is shy with strangers, but once she gains your trust, she will be begging for your rubs. She is wonderful with children. She has recently done well with other dogs and does great at the vet. T walks well on the leash and loves going for walks and dipping her paws in streams. She also enjoys relaxing beside her people. She is the sweetest dog and will be a loving companion and guardian for the right folks.

Story
Trained Special Handler, Savvy Dog Owner Penny is an owner surrender. The lady got married and is now expecting and didn't want her working dog anymore. YES, I SAID OBEDIENCE TRAINED DOG Penny has been used as a balance dog, so she knows the protocol. She will be placed in a home where she is the only dog because like many dogs out there, she was raised without dogs, cats or children, and doesn't get along with them now. Penny's is protective of her person, and will keep others away, this must be monitored. She doesn't do anything out of the way with humans, but dogs are another matter. She will only be placed where there are no other pets, as she is the boss, and causes trouble with other dogs. We recommend further training with her in her new home, in addition to a handler who understands retired working dogs. Penny is extremely loving, beautiful, and blows coat twice a year with a vengeance. Penny loves outings, but we will provide a muzzle to keep her out of trouble with people who won't listen to you. Penny says she is ready to stop this vacation now and settle in with her forever person.

Story
Winston and Phoebe are beautiful Anatolian shepherd mixes that have pretty good size paws. These puppies were dumped in somebody’s driveway in the country, where they sat all night, waiting for someone to find them. Winston and Phoebe currently weigh 25 lbs as of 8/2/24 – We estimate they will be around 55-70 lbs once full grown. These 2 are just as friendly as sweet as can be. When the owner of the home they were dumped at walked outside, they ran up to the owners, tails wagging and tongues out. They LOVE to kiss you and be right next to you. Winston and Phoebe are gentle giants. They are not crazy puppies, but they do love their playtime. Give them toys and they put them in their mouths and run all over the house and yard with them. They LOVE their toys. They can entertain themselves, but they prefer a play buddy (whether it’s an adult, child or other doggy) These gorgeous pups have been introduced to small and big dogs and get along great with both! They look up to other dogs for more confidence but would be great in a home with or without other dogs. Winston and Phoebe adore kitties. They love to cuddle with them in the beds and hang out with them. Inside or outside cats, no issues at all. They may even prefer a cat sibling! They LOVE kids! They would prefer children over boring adults any day. They have the goofiest and friendliest of personalities. Winston and Phoebe also love water – they would make great adventure buddies. They love to explore and are very curious pups. They catch on quickly to everything you’re doing and will follow you around to watch you. These 2 pups will bring joy, love and laughter into your and your family’s life. Please consider adopting today. _______________________________________________________________________________ If you would like to adopt this doggy/puppy, please complete an application on our website: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, current on preventions, dewormed and microchipped. Story
Tall Titan, is a strong and remarkable  Warrior, a dog that has fought to be alive and walking  today on this earth.  He has willed himself to come from the depths of pain and starvation to become this handsome boy that you see right now.  He is our Super Hero Pup and our example of a creature that has never given up even when it would have been easier to just go to sleep and never wake up.  When Titan came to a rescue lady’s house that Critter Cavalry knows, this boy was malnourished and just a skeleton of the puppy he should be as a Great Dane.  The lady has a love for the Danes and she asked CCR to please take him into our rescue before she fell in love and couldn’t let him go.  She had enough dogs and just felt the temptation to keep him was too great.  We agreed and soon Titan was ours to raise and get prepped for a new home and family.  Shortly afterwards his foster family noticed he was struggling to walk and his joints were inflamed. Titan was taken to several vets before receiving the diagnosis of  Hypertrophic osteodystrophy (HOD). He has been put on a regimen of medications, high calorie food and hydrotherapy and is now running, jumping and playing with other dogs. His favorite things to do are play with toys, run and nap in the sun. Titan is a large dog and will do best in a home with another large dog or two that he will be able to play with. He will continue to need medication intermittently for some time and to be followed by a veterinarian.  If you have large breed dog experience and are willing to take on this fellas special needs please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue. He is not house trained to hold longer than 4 hours.  He needs to eat separately at mealtimes and he needs to learn better how to play with his toys in a group setting if there are other dogs.  If he is the only dog then there is no special monitoring.  Titan rides like a champ in the car or truck and he is definitely crate trained with good dog/name recall.  He would be easier to watch in the yard if you had a real physical fence installed since he likes to wander off out of curiosity.   Please email Critter Cavalry at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  He is great with young children/boys that are rough and tumble and lots of noise. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Lucky Lucas is a handsome 4 month old Great Dane/Lab mix puppy that is lucky because he was rescued from a very life-threatening situation during this summer’s heat wave in Tennessee. It was over 100 degrees and he was carelessly tied to a post at the local Walmart during the hot, hot day.  A foster mom for Critter Cavalry Rescue saw his desperate situation and stepped up and took him home.  It seems that this boy was dumped by a homeless man who could not really keep him safe and fed. This foster mom saved his life and we are grateful she had the heart to not turn her back on his need to be saved. No one else cared it seemed that day.  He is now in our care and we are working on getting him fully vetted and ready for a new home.   This handsome boy is a big couch potato like most Great Danes can be and yet he enjoys going for a walk and THEN hitting the sofa.  He also loves to sit by a window and watch the world go by kind of like a cat does. As you can imagine, the bigger the dog, the bigger the heart and Lucas is all about having a wonderful heart.  He is a great movie watching pal and is a pro at bedtime snuggling. He gets along very well with other dogs, cats and children. Look at that face. So kissable!!!   You must consider this boy who will be a 75 pound boy and the best of both worlds…. Great Dane and Lab.  Write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and ask for an application.  Tell us where you live: city and state when emailing us. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Duke the Dane is an 18 month, 90 pound smaller sized Great Dane that is a wonderful boy with the most fun and goofy personality!!  This boy you will NOT forget after you meet him.  He is loving, smart, devoted and obedient to me, his foster mom, and I’ve only had him a month.  I am a seasoned Great Dane person and have owned them and fostered many and currently I have many dogs and other animals and he gets along with everyone - cat, puppies, all breeds of dogs, horses, pigs and donkeys.  To say Dane Duke is versatile is an understatement.  He is perfection in so many ways.  Duke was very undernourished and thin when he arrived and since neutering, experimenting with a no chicken diet and supplementing him with oils and vitamins, he is finally starting to get stronger and put on weight.  We also tacked his stomach when he was neutered so that he could avoid the horrific and common stomach bloat that this breed often dies from as they age.  We bought a basic insurance policy for him with this medical procedure which was a much needed and worthy expense to insure a longer life for him.  It will save an owner many, many thousands of dollars at the ER in an effort to save his life should the bloat occur.  The odds are so high that it could.  Adding to his many good attributes, we can say that Dane Duke is a good watch dog, and gentle with children and loves to follow anyone around while doing chores.  And yes…this big boy is housebroken, good in a kennel crate and he mostly enjoys a big yard and the freedom to explore and play with his toys.  If you have been looking for a sweet Great Dane then you have found the perfect one. If interested, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 8:06 am
