Story
JuneBug and her sister Basil are 18 month old girls whose elderly owner became hospitalized. The girls were left outside for the month of December as friends of the owner. Tried to find somebody to take them in. This Rescue stepped up and brought the girls into their busy multi-dog foster home. They are very well house trained, and very good house manners. Very calm in the house and easy to take care of, and they absolutely love to snuggle in bed with you. They are very playful outside and love to chase balls and race around. They do not like to be crated, but they are very well mannered loose in the house, even when you’re not home. They get along with all of the dogs here in the foster home which include male and female and all sizes. They walk completely loose leash together, absolutely no pulling whatsoever, extremely well mannered. They are an easy size around 35 pounds and very easy to manage. As long as they have a window to look out of, they are quite content. They are happy, smiling girls always wanting to help you in whatever you are working on! email irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application

Story
Freya was hit by a car at 5 months old and relinquished to rescue because the owners could not afford to repair her. She had a broken back femur which received a pin and a plate to put it back together. She received optimal care and nutrition in her foster home and healed wonderfully!! The day after she arrived in the foster home a three month old Australian Shepherd entered the foster home. She was very perplexed by this other puppy would not run around and play with her. As a compromise, the Australian Shepherd, named Fidget, decided to lay on the ground and play with her in the fashion that Freya was able to play while her leg healed. An amazing bond formed between the two of them And they have been completely inseparable ever since. Freya Is an extremely low-key puppy who will likely be the dog alpha in her forever home. She will share her food and toys with Fidget, but not with any of the other dogs in the house. Their other buddy is a large male German Shepherd, who is a permanent resident in the foster home— there is a lot of dog wrestling between these three! Freya has healed very well, confirmed with xray, and absolutely loves time out in the backyard playing with the others. She loves the cold weather and the snow. She also loves the water bucket and would probably love swimming! She was constantly in the water bucket in the warmer months standing in it and playing in it! Freya has done great with all of the children she has met, super gentle, and very easy for them to be around. She is an extraordinary anatolian, so calm, so gentle, with noises like Chewbacca ! Looking for a fenced home for these two, they are not happy when they are separated, and they will need to be adopted together as it is their happiness in life that is the goal of this rescue. Both puppies are very low-key and very easy to take care of in the home. House trained, crate trained, and vetting is up-to-date. They are not the typical crazy puppies that may give you nightmares, they are a wonderful duo that will make your jaw drop in amazement just watching them work together and be so completely manageable and enjoyable. email Irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application

Story
Freya was 5 months old when hit by a car. her owners could not afford to repair her so she came into rescue And underwent surgery to receive a pin and plate to repair her femur. Her foster home took great care of her and recovery with very good nutrition, and she has recovered fully, with a 2nd x-ray to confirm. On her second day in the foster home a three month old Australian Shepherd came in to be fostered. Although this young puppy had plenty of energy per her breed, She instead chose to lay down and play with Freya at the level that play at while she healed. since then, the two have been inseparable. They run around the yard in the snow and mud and wrestle and play and have a great time together. Even though young, these two are very low-key despite their breed. They have very good house manners, are potty trained, crate trained, and are very affectionate nice young dogs. They are great with kids and get along with all the foster dogs in this home. They especially love the other german shepherds here. Freya will likely be the alpha dog in her forever home. She will only share her food and toys with Fidget, but not the other dogs. When Fidget puts herself in her own crate to take a nap, Freya lays outside of it, waiting for her to come back out to play when she is ready. My goal in doing rescue is to get the dogs to their happiest life, and in order to do that, these two need to be adopted together. Fenced yard will be required. Although it may seem like a lot to ask to adopt two young puppies at the same time, these two entertain each other and leave you with little work to do. You simply get to sit back and watch their show and laugh and smile in amazement at the wonderful relationship they have. They are not crazy puppy energy at all, they are very, very manageable, unlike any other puppies I have had through this foster home. They will be an amazing duo that you will talk about endlessly to your family and friends and will bring you many years of happiness. For adoption application, email irondawgs13@gmail.com . Story
Amelia's adoption fee has been paid by Linda Schaller, in hopes it will help her find a forever home soon. Why is Amelia still here? She has lived in our care for 286 lonely days. Though Amelia spends time with the other dogs, and gets lots of love from staff and volunteers, this is not her home. No puppy should grow up in a shelter. She was part of an unwanted and unsold litter who was left in a field until they could be brought in. They weren't socialized with people until they came in. "Amelia is super sweet. She's pretty scared and skittish at first, but once she knows you, she'll soak up any attention you'll give her. She'll jump up on you for attention, and while she definitely enjoys treats, she also likes pets and love a little more. Amelia is afraid of loud noises and fast movements, but she really opens up with other animals. She would make a great cuddle buddy when she's comfortable with you." Jill, Dog Associate
