Story
He was left behind when his owners moved out. Very affectionate. He looks like a goofy, kind of floppy hound dog as he ambles around. He’s sweet and affectionate. Gets along with most dogs. He’s a little bossy with food especially with a timid dog. Feeding in a crate solves that. Loves his play time in the yard with two stout dogs. He’s a bit of a digger, but too lazy to do it in earnest. Great on a leash. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
Ruby is a diamond in the woof that could use a little polishing. She’s a playful, friendly gal who would benefit from learning doggie manners. Ruby is house trained and did not need to be crated in a previous home. She would do best in an environment where she is the only pet.If you are interested in learning more about this pet, call the Montgomery County, Virginia, Animal Care and Adoption Center at 540-382-5795.

Story
LOCAL TN ADOPTION ONLY. The good.....He is kennel trained. Goes in very easily with treats. Will run right in if a treat is thrown in there. Will bark for a few minutes but settles. If he’s in a crate, in a room alone and he hears a lot of commotion, he will bark. If you’ve left and the house is quiet, he’s quiet. He’s great in the kennel if someone is in the same room with him though. He likes being with his people. He happily snoozes in an open kennel during the day if you’re working from home and the kennel is near your work area.Scooby is a goof! There’s not much he takes too seriously. Besides treats. Treats are serious business! He will do just about anything for a treat. Even stuff he really doesn’t want to do. But treats are life. He’s overall an easy dog that is sweet, happy, cuddly and isn’t overly energetic. He loves playing and is a bulldozer but he relaxes and naps a lot too. He doesn’t require mass amounts of exercise. He is more than happy to lounge around in bed and watch tv with his humans. The bad...He snores. It’s not quiet...He hates small dogs, if your neighbor has one he will make it his life"s mission to eradicate it. He is generally good on a leash until aforementioned small dog walks up, then he will happily chill with you while you recover from your rotator cuff repair. Story
Meet Sharkbait, the lovable 8-year-old canine with a heart as big as his size! Despite his name, this gentle giant isn't scary at all - in fact, he's as sweet as can be. Sharkbait may be a Great Dane mix, but he firmly believes he's a lap dog, ready to snuggle up with anyone who will have him. While Sharkbait may not hear as well as he used to, that doesn't stop him from enjoying life to the fullest. He may miss a command here or there, but his enthusiasm more than makes up for it. And who needs words when his eyes speak volumes of love and affection? Sharkbait's social circle includes some furry friends, though he prefers the company of dogs who understand his larger-than-life personality. Unfortunately, he's not a fan of feline friends, so a cat-free household would be ideal. One thing to note about Sharkbait is his size - he's a big boy! While he adores children and their boundless energy, he may inadvertently knock over smaller kids in his excitement. But don't let his size fool you; underneath all that brawn is a gentle soul who just wants to play and be loved. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's equal parts goofy and affectionate, Sharkbait might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet this delightful dog and see if you're the lucky family who gets to take him home!
