Story
Marie is a 6 yr old 11 lbs Poodle Mix.  She has had a rough start in life, but is a very sweet girl given time.  Marie is crate trained and house trained including pee pad trained.  Marie would do best as an only dog due to her need for attention and reassurance.  She has come from an abusive past, so slow introductions and letting her approach you to learn to trust and seek affection will be needed.  Marie wants so much to be loved and would make a great companion dog. If you are interested in adopting Marie, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!August 19, 2024, 11:27 am

Story
Cookie is a 8-year-old, 6lb white Poodle. Are you looking for a soft little velcro dog to love? Then we should meet! My name is Cookie and I am full of love and would love to share that love with you! I am a teeny, little girl and I just want to be with my furever people! I am a very good girl in the car, so I can go places with you, I don't bark a lot, and I am well behaved in the house, so I won't chew stuff or potty. (I used to be in a situation with a lot of dogs, so I haven't figured out that I am supposed to tell Foster Mom when I need to go out, but she has these indoor bathroom pads, and I go on those if I need to go when we are inside. But she says I am smart and she bets I learn quick! It only took me a few days to learn to go in my crate to get my dinner!). I am a good kisser and my favorite place to be is on your lap. I sleep next to Foster Mom's pillow and sometimes get under the covers. I am a little embarrassed about my current haircut, but when it grows back out I will look more like a "typical" poodle! If you think I'm the poodle for you, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Story
Scooter is a 10-year-old, 7lb Gray and White Poodle Scooter may be blind but that doesn't stop him from living his life to the fullest. He may take a little while to warm up because of his lack of eyesight, but once he does, he's an affectionate sweet pup. His blindness also means he'd do best in a home with no young children, or with respectful calmer kids. Scooter's foster mom said that he is loving his foster siblings, so he'd do best in a home with another dog. Despite his age he's still playful with his foster sisters and comes out of his shell more every day. Scooter is very smart and is picking up on the routines of his foster home in no time. If you think that you can give Scooter the life he deserves, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/.
