We adopted Chulo from Woods Humane Society over 2 years ago and did online training with him to through Good Pup. He is a good dog but we lack the ability to give him the attention that he needs. We are looking for a family that can care for him and give him all the attention he deserves.

Kelpie mix, female 6 months oldMeet Annie She’s been verified as mostly Kelpie!  The remainder is most likely Malinois.  Annie was abandoned along with her brother.  Andy has found a home, but Annie is still waiting.  Annie is great on and off leash. Story
Roscoe was abandoned at the beach by his previous owners. Our neighbors found him wandering by the freeway in Ventura. He is so friendly that he immediately jumped in his car to be rescued. From the moment I first saw him I knew he was a sweet boy. He was sweet and patient with our (then) one year old. And he has learned not to chase the cat out of excitement. And he has always played well with his adopted border collie sister. He was all set to move with us to a 100 acre property in Texas where he would have all the space to get his energy out. Unexpectedly we were offered a once in a lifetime job in SLO. So, the family (and Roscoe) move north instead of east. Luck was on Roscoe’s side when the family was able to find a house to rent that was multi pet friendly and in budget. But unfortunately luck has run out for the family. The living situation has changed again and Roscoe and his fur siblings are having to find new homes. We really want what is best for this sweet boy.

Since arriving at the shelter on March 23, 2024, Dexter has shown that he’s full of energy and eager to explore the world.Dexter is a strong boy who loves his walks, though he’s still learning how to stay calm on a leash. He’s a smart dog who knows how to sit and is getting better every day at doing it on command. Dexter absolutely loves to play fetch—his eyes light up at the sight of a ball, and he’s always ready for a good game. He would thrive in an active household that can provide the structure, exercise, and playtime he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s up for any adventure, Dexter is your guy!
