Libby is sure a unique-looking young girl; how can anyone not love her huge ears!! She is thought to be an Australian Kelpie Mix (possibly with Bull Terrier). She weighs about 30 lbs. Her estimated date of birth is June 5th 2023. Libby is a typical puppy, very energetic and playful. She likes to jump and can sometimes forget herself and be a little too rough with other dogs. But….…she is young and needs to learn boundaries and manners in order to evolve into a wonder family member with a forever family she so deserves.. This sweet pup likes playing with other dogs; she’s great with dogs and would enjoy the companionship of another dog in the home. Most likely, a young or middle-aged adult dog would prefer his company much more so than a senior dog. An ideal family for Libby is one able to assimilate the enthusiasm and playfulness of a puppy into their lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Libby to be her best self! A secure fenced yard is required; another younger or middle-aged pup in the family could also be advantageous. Libby is crate-trained and is working hard to improve her house manners (housebreaking). She is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Her spay is included in her adoption fee. This lovable, lively, 6-month-old girl looks and acts like an Australian Kelpie, but we’ve sent in her DNA to get a more accurate idea of her breed(s). Ashlee was “bought” on the street after being separated from her mom at 6 wks., then spent most of her time alone in a garage or on a patio basically raising herself. Since coming to our home a little over 2 months ago she’s had a couple senior furry “mentors” and with the guidance of a professional trainer and daily reinforcements we’ve been able to undo bad behavior and learn the good stuff below: -sit, down, stay, off, high five, leave it, do business -will “sit-stay” while you’re opening a door -how to get treats out a puzzle -catches treats mid-air -takes a treat gently from your hand. -gives “smoochies” -walks great on a leash -doesn’t need to be crated, but doesn’t mind either -doesn't chew furniture -only jumps on the couch for a short stay -housebroken, uses bells on door handle to alert you when she needs to go out -eats 3 x’s a day instead of graze feeding -”get it, bring it, drop it”, well...still working on this We think she would be an awesome agility candidate, if you’re into that, she loves to work! Due to her young age, she will do best in a home with someone home most of the day, kids over 10 and an active K-9 playmate. A fenced yard is a must for her twice a day case of the Zoomies. Applicants should be familiar with training pups or willing to work with a professional trainer, this is essential. Story
Scout is an almost 2-year-old Red Heeler. He lives with my elderly father, who is being forced to give up his baby due to where he lives. He is unfit to properly take care of this dog in the small house/subdivision he lives in. He has one week to find a new home, or I don't know what will happen. No rescues will help due to a history of aggression, in which only two biting incidents were reported. 1) was for a stranger grabbing his collar, and 2) was when Scout was tangled around a railing, and my dad was trying to help get him free. Scout loves to be petted, go for walks, and play with other dogs at the dog park. He deserves a better life with a yard where he can run and a family that can give him the space, exercise, and training he deserves.
