Story
Gia is a 2 year old kelpie mix. This girl is sweet and SMART! She can go way beyond her basic training. Gia is kennel and potty trained. She loves going on walks and adventures and walks really well on harness. Due to her breed, she is easily stimulated by other dogs and animals. For her best quality of life, she would do best in a home a an only dog. She does get along with other dogs, but her herding mind stresses her out when other dogs are in the mix. She has been great meeting all new people and older kids. She loves a good snuggle on the couch, watching TV together. Overall we have all fallen in love with her sweet nature. ##2128827##

Story
Momma Donna is a Kelpie/Heeler mix girl that gave birth 3 months ago to 8 beautiful, wonderful Heeler puppies. This girl is 2 years old and only 42 pounds.  She is amazingly smart and seems to know exactly what you are saying to her.  We think that Momma Donna would be a perfect addition to a home with children who want to play and teach a dog some good tricks and manners.  She is willing to learn anything. Momma Donna is nicely housebroken and ready for a totally great and new life.  Momma Donna just needs a place to belong.   So, do you have a front porch and a hole in your heart ready to be filled by a loving and devoted dog who wants to walk down the road with you every day?   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in Momma Donna.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.

Story
Sydney is a social dog who enjoys spending quality time with her people, but she's not the type of dog who's going to lay around on the couch all the time. She's a very active young girl, and with the right person and some positive reinforcement training she'll likely be a great candidate for some dog sports! While she hasn't shown much interest in toys during her time here, she does like to run-- and she already knows `sit` and `paw`.OTHER PETS: Sydney hasn't shown much interest in other dogs during her stay at TJO, but she is calm and relaxed around them, so it's possible she could get along with another dog who knows when to let her have her own space. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)] NO CATSOWNER EXPERIENCE:Sydney is a fairly happy and easy-going dog, but it's important for her to get exercise and mental enrichment daily! With this in mind, she could possibly be a good first dog for someone who lives an active lifestyle. [First Dog]KIDS: Sydney is uncomfortable with some types of handling, and so would do best with kids who are old enough to understand and respect her boundaries. [12+ (Must Meet First)]ACTiVITY LEVEL:Sydney is a dog who likes to be active! She's got a lot of energy and likes to run, and with continued positive training she would likely be a good hiking companion as well. And while daily walks will be important for her, she's also the kind of dog who will need various forms of mental enrichment and games -- to make sure both her body and brain are tired out at the end of the day. [Good Walking Buddy / Olympic Athlete]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED:Sydney is a fairly social dog with people, but she's still young and has only just begun her positive training journey, so she would do best learning with someone who can offer patience and confidence while she adjusts. Positive reinforcement training will help Sydney to not only learn her basic cues, but also provide a good opportunity for her to bond with her new owner. With further training, she could also be a candidate for other activities like flyball, agility, hiking, lure coursing, weight pulling or dock diving! [Moderate]GROOMING:While Sydney does have a short coat, routine brushing will help to decrease shedding within the house. [Minimal / Routine Brushing]August 18, 2024, 2:23 pm
