Story
Super friendly and beautiful too! Mazy is a special dog and looking for a family to call her own. Pictures simply do not due her justice. When you meet Mazy in person, you will better see her beautiful reddish brown coat and pretty, slender face. Everyone comments that she resembles a little fox! She is gentle and sweet with all humans she meets and greets new dogs with ease and comfort. No posturing as you can see in her videos. Her body is relaxed and easy going. At 38 pounds and 2 years of age, Mazy is the perfect size no matter what your activiites. This pretty mama dog was picked up by animal control in a small rural town when a good samaritan altered them that Mazy and her 4 puppies needed a rescue. We are so happy we were able to rescue Mazy!
Here is Mazy's backstory as written by one of the local rescue volunteers: Mazy had been abandoned by her prior owners, left behind when they moved away. She had to fend for herself for several months. In the same part of town that Mazy was hanging out, a doodle, that his owner's allowed to roam the streets freely, impregnated Mazy. She had her four puppies under the house where she was abandoned. She was a very good mom! She went out to find food to keep nursing her puppies. That is when animal control followed her one day. Breanna, one of the animal control officers, had to crawl under the house to save and get the puppies. Mazy must have known she was getting help, because she allowed the puppies to be brought out one by one while she waited outside of the house.
Mazy resembles a fox to me, very petite and regal! Mazy is a very friendly dog! She loves to explore the backyard . In the short time she was at my home she seems to be both house trained and crate trained. She sleeps well in her crate, loves to be brushed, and most importantly, Mazy loves to be loved on by her people. She is hungry for human interaction! At first she is cautious but once you scratch her head and love on her she melts. Mazy deserves a loving home where she can be part of the family and not have to worry about being left behind!
