Bear is a sweet, energetic dog with Heterochromia (one blue eye) who loves to be around people who show him love. He was picked up as a stray in Georgia, spent some time in NYC, and is now being fostered in CT where he is THRIVING. He's able to run around and explore the outdoors, his two favorite hobbies. In a matter of a few days, Bear has become a lot more comfortable with the new surroundings and really started to show his affectionate side. He absolutely loves to play and loves to cuddle. Bear is housebroken and crate trained. Currently he has a crate inside his playpen, but chooses to sleep/hang out in the playpen with no issues - he sleeps through the night and relaxes (after a bit of whining) during the day. He’s very smart and food-motivated and responds very well to daily training. Bear has not been aggressive around his food and is the gentlest treat-taker you've ever seen. Bear loves to go for car rides! Personally, I like having him in the backseat with his seatbelt on, he prefers to be a passenger. Bear walks best with his harness and benefits from continued leash training. He is an energetic, athletic, strong dog and would do great with people who enjoy outdoor activies as well. Orlando is SO affectionate! He is very sweet, polite and a gentle 2,5 years old boy. He truly loves humans, is so very trusting, and his love language is physical touch! Orlando is a professional hugger! He will nestle her head into you. He loves playing and having fun with his kennel mates. Orlando is a social butterfly and is happy and polite meeting new people, recieving pats, and giving his special hugs to anyone who is willing! He is also very smart, so adopter who would take his to agility classes would be amazing. Orlando was found on a street as a puppy by Good Samaritan who brought her to shelter SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, where he was raised with love and care. Meet Bear! Bear is a big handsome boy who is very affectionate and gentle :D He was rescued from High-kill shelter that runs by city by our rescue team. Behaviours : Bear is a gentle and a lovely boy who loves people – He doesn’t have any aggressive behaviours or doesn’t bark often(He barks at breakfast and dinner because he wants to be fed as soon as possible). Even when his dog friends bother him a lot, he might express that he doesn't like it, but he wouldn't attack them. He is ok with bath and grooming, but teeth cleaning and ear cleaning aren't his favorite. Though- he won't bite you~ He is a gentle boy ;) He has a good walking manner, but he can't have long walk at the moment, because his hind legs gets uncomfortable (We're working on his diet to improve his hind leg issue). He is an adorable big boy who has gentle soul with so much love in him! He will ADORE you!! Allergy/health issues: He has no allregy issue. He is on diet and we're trying to get him more muscle around his knees, because of his hind legs. Hello from Connecticut, I am a handsome and friendly Kelpie/Siberian Husky mix named River, about 2-1/2 years old, on the smaller side at about 35 lbs, and I am one cool dude. I have a medium energy level, and can read the room… calm and easygoing indoors… playful and energetic outdoors. I was originally a Texas dog, patiently waiting for adoption at a Laredo Animal Shelter when 4 Little Paws Rescue took me in. A few months later, my dreams came true, and I was adopted in Connecticut, but sadly, due to a family illness, I must now find a new future. I’m sweet and affectionate, love to cuddle, and am not too proud to admit I love doggy toys. I’m playful and would enjoy having a built-in doggy friend when I get adopted again. I love the outdoors even when it's cold. I am well-behaved, housebroken, and quiet even when all the household dogs start barking like crazy, I will look to see what’s going on but maintain my dignity and not join in. I can walk nicely on a leash and be a good boy while riding in the car. I’m loyal, social, and self-assured; I’ve got it all going on! I’m currently staying in a CT foster home, so come over and meet me, but be prepared to fall in love and take me home! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. Meet Brody, a 7 year old Aussie mix that is currently boarding in Lindenwold, NJ ! Brody is a handsome, outgoing mature mountain man! He is looking for an outdoorsy person to provide him with love and attention he needs. Brody could easily carry his own supplies on a camping trip. Brody is 100 lbs (but losing weight) blue merle with a copper trim, one blue & brown/blue eye! Brody gets along with other dogs but does want to be the dominant male in the household. He loves car rides and is well behaved on vet visits. Brody loves to be outside! Brody is crate trained and could benefit from training reinforcement. Brody has shown some signs of resource guarding at his foster and could use training on management. Brody would like to be a lap dog, he loves men and is good with clippers. Brody will not be placed in a home with small children. Meet Huckleberry aka Huck who is available for adoption in Cherry Hill, NJ! Huck is 7 years old, about 54lbs, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventative, housebroken and crate-trained. He’s a very good dog, so well-behaved and would make a good companion or family dog! He’s nervous around sudden noises and strangers, but he warms up quickly and gets along with other dogs and children. He loooves pets, belly rubs, and attention. He is a great running and hiking buddy and loves cuddling on the couch as a couch potato. Don’t leave him alone with your food! He loves food and likes to stand between me and the stove when cooking…and waits to taste test any food that drops. He’s very food and treat motivated and learns new commands quickly. His previous owner didn’t crate train him but he learned the command “go to crate” in about a week! He doesn’t play with toys but loves food puzzles, learning commands, and running off leash. Huck hasn’t met a cat until I fostered him. He’s very curious about my cat where they both sniffed but then scared each other since they differ in communication and play styles. He has potential to get along with cats but they should have their own separate spaces, especially vertical space for the cat since he wants to chase my cat when she runs. He tolerated my cat but grew jealous of her over time whenever I gave her attention. On walks, a couple cats crossed our paths and they didn’t faze Huck. Huck is a good dog off leash with other dogs and people but still needs continued training on leash. When on leash, he pulls and barks, sometimes jumps, at strangers and other dogs but he is slowly improving when distracted with lots of treats. He tends to run towards other dogs to play. Treats don’t work as well to distract him and I’d have to grab the handle on his harness to break focus and sit for treats. Ideally, his new home should have a large fenced yard or a fenced dog park nearby where he can run around in. He currently goes to doggy daycare multiple times a week.
