Vandalay from our Texas drainpipe pups is still waitng for her big moment to find a forever home of her own.  Currently in a Long Island foster home, she is a kelpie/poodle mix, around 7 months old.  Vandalay is fully vetted, happy, playful and doing well with her puppy basics.   She would love a doggie playmate to keep her company and a large fenced backyard to help her stay active and busy!  She is good with other dogs but would prefer a kitty and child free home - please help us find her people!   All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Sidney, NY Meet Story! She is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs around 50 lbs. She is microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t spayed (has an appointment on 3/12 for this). Story is good with dogs and older children! No cats or younger children, due to her reactivity! Story has bitten the owner’s 4 year old son three times and her 2 year old daughter once. This occurred while the children were dancing, waving their arms, or running. She is housebroken and crate-trained. The owner is surrendering her because she attacks their cats and is aggressive towards her children. She needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Story, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. Meet Royal, a 37 pound bodacious, bouncy babe ready for anything! Royal is an outgoing and fun-loving lady brought to the shelter when she wasn't being cared for properly. Now that she's spayed and fully vetted by our staff, she's hoping to hop on out of here ASAP! Royal is reported to be part husky and park heeler and we think that tracks! Between her commitment to parkour training and her expressive voice, she's ready to be a full member of her new family! Her enthusiasm for other dogs seems to be similar, which mostly means that not all other dogs will appreciate her play style. With a successful dog meet at the shelter, and a game plan for giving the dogs breaks from each other at home, Royal may be able to live happily with other dogs. Royal loves to race, run and play, but is also known to enjoy a good snuggle once she's worn out for the day.
