WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Merlin - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Looking for a new FBF (furry best friend)? Look no further than Merlin (hey, hey, that's me!) and I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I got my name cuz I'm pretty good at magic. I magically appeared in my foster mom's fenced yard and they are still trying to figure that one out. I can also magically fit myself into my favoritest bed from when I was smaller. I'm now ready to start on this new chapter of my life with lots of hugs, puppy kisses and playtime with my new family!!! I'm around 9 months old and I come in at about 30lbs, which should put me at a fantastic size when I get myself all growed up, although I shouldn't get a whole lot bigger(35-40lbs). I love playing and am energetic, ready to share in all your adventures from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting!! I love people both tall and small, love playing with the other pups here at my foster home but I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those strange creatures y'all call a cat yet. I have that innocent spirit that loves living life to the fullest, that energy that loves exploring the world around me and that playful demeanor that finds joy in everything!! I am one smart cookie (yes, my foster momma tells me so!) as I'm already house and crate trained and I know how to use the doggie door. That lets us get right to all that fun stuff...right away. I've got a beautiful coat that is pretty easy in the maintenance department, kind of a wash-n-go type of fella. You do know what that means, don't ya? Yep yep, more time for the spoil me rotten department!! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness on a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for your home, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application! It can be found at haydudeequine.org With lots of sincere tail wags and puppy kisses, Merlin💗💗

Story
Meet Coco Chanel Meet Coco Chanel, an 18 wk old Shepherd mix. Coco Chanel was surrendered to a previous adopter who found her wandering the streets. The owner said they couldn't care for her, so off she went onto bigger and better things! She didn't have a great start in puppyhood, she was nervous at first, but quickly warmed up and wants to be your bestie. She is still learning how to be an indoor dog, and learn appropriate manners and interactions, which also includes working on house training. She will need a patient, active adopter to help her become her best self. A puppy class with an approved trainer is an absolute must for Miss Coco. She is a quick learner, so this is a great opportunity for her and her new family to bond! Coco appears to like other dogs, but slow introductions will be needed, as with any dog. Up until now, she hasn't had time to socialize as many other puppies do. Cats are unknown. She is not yet spayed, but will be prior to adoption. If you're interested in making Coco Chanel your bestie, please apply at www.furkidrescue.org/adopt.

These pups are in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Hello, my name is Ryder! I have a bit of a story to tell about myself. I found myself at BCHS because I came here for surgery through another organization. When I arrived at the shelter the staff saw my potential and offered to keep me here to find my forever home. I wasn`t here long at all, only 1 day, before being adopted for the first time. I went home with kids, another dog, and lots of farm animals. My first family was doing a great job on teaching me manners and I was catching on very well. Unfortunately, I was not a good fit to live with their elderly dog and I had to come back to the shelter after 1 week. During my next stay at the shelter I was able to attend doggy playgroup and the staff found out that I`m a `Rough and Rowdy` player. The staff also discovered that I have endless energy. I was here for a couple weeks and excited to get adopted again! Unfortunately, my 2nd family was not able to keep up with my energy and training needs. I was returned to the shelter again after just a couple days. The staff here at the shelter really saw my potential but were a bit stumped on what to do next to help me find my forever home. Luckily, a local training company reached out to offer help for me. Then I moved to Misty Pines! I have been boarding at Misty Pines since the beginning of January. While at the training facility I have attended all of the classes they offer, joined in their playgroups, had private training, and have gotten accustomed to some new equipment to help me be most successful. The staff at Misty Pines were even so curious about my background that they ordered me a DNA test! My adoption fee is a bit higher than most dogs adopted from BCHS, but this is because I come with so much more experience and support than most shelter dogs are afforded. Along with all of the typical benenfits of adopting a BCHS dog, I also come with the training that has already been invested in me, as well as continued classes and help from Misty Pines after my adoption. The value of all of that support has been added to my adoption fee and will be donated back to the shelter by the training company to help more dogs like me. My adoption process will be a bit different that others as well. Since I am not at the shelter, an appointment will need to be made in advance to meet me. You will talk to our Animal Training Manager about my behavior and to schedule my meet and greet. The staff will bring me to the shelter to conduct a regular meet and greet with my po

Story
Hello! I am Daisy. I am a lovely little lady! I came here after my previous owner was no longer able to keep me due to a housing/moving issue. I am very polite, gentle, and affectionate. I love to go on walks, but I can pull when I see cars (I go a little bonkers actually). I enjoy toys and sometimes like to tear them up, but I am also housebroken and crate trained. I like dogs and would need to meet any dogs I might spend time with in my new home. I enjoy spending time with mypeople, but I do tend to `herd` kids (what, they look like sheep?) so teens - adults would be best. Because of my breed, I do require that I go home with a family who has previous herding dog experience. I love pets and all the attention you can share; wherever you are going, I`d like to come too. If you are looking for a wonderful little cuddle bug, come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2024 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. Story
I AM IN FOSTER AND NOT AT THE SHELTER!!! PLEASE CALL AND SET UP A TIME FOR MY FOSTER TO BRING ME IN TO MEET YOU!Hello! I am Breezie and I am new to the shelter! I am a little shy when you first meet me but I warm up quickly. A little fact about me - I only have three legs. When I was younger, I was hit by a car and they could not save my leg. However, I do not let that stop me from being an excited and happy gal. So far, I have not done the best with my dog to dog interactions. The staff believe I would like to be an only dog in my next home. If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home.
