Story
Tag came to us as a stray in October 2024. While this boy would do best in a home with no cats, Tag loves to make new dogs friends! Tag is our sweet boy who has plenty of energy for an active home. Tag is already walking well on leash, mostly housebroken, and learning his basic commands. Tag is cattle dog, neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventative. Come out to the shelter to meet this playful boy!

Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young girl ready to play! ZARA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Zara and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (04/13) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Kensington, MD (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)!   Name:  Zara       Best Guess for Breed:  Kelpie and husky mix Best Guess for Age:  1.5 years as of March 2025     SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  45 lbs   Gets Along With:     Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home.   Zara is Looking For:   Her forever home! This beautiful girl is eager to have her own humans for romps in parks and all the adventures they can dream up. And to make pup pals along the way. She definitely has lots of energy to burn - that likely breed mix! - and she will thrive on ample physical activity and mental enrichment. Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, who her people are. In exchange she promises to be the best buddy for world exploration - and adoring gazes - and happy tail wags - and to make your residence a true home. What do you say? Is Zara the companion you have been seeking? What My Foster Says About Me:  She is doing great!  Zara is the sweetest girl who loves hugs and kisses.  She gets very excited when we wake up in the morning. She gets her whole body involved with her tail wagging and starts to bounce up and down. It is very cute. She is starting to get her confidence up and has a blast at the dog park. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. I already know a few commands such as "sit" and "speak". I take a bit to warm up to people, but once I do, I am so happy to be your friend! I absolutely LOVE booty scratches and a good tug of war (I absolutely LOVE toys and playing with my people!). I will bring my toy, place it in your lap and wait for you to play with me!!! I am a bit shy and nervous around a lot of dogs and commotion, I'd prefer a quieter home as I am a quiet gal. I do have some separation anxiety, so an apartment might not be a good fit for me. I need some leash training, but I am currently practicing my skills. If you are looking for a smart and sweet companion, fill out an application for me today and you’ll gain a faithful friend for life! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training.
