Story
This beautiful girl is called Kenzie, and she is from what we can tell,  a husky/ Australian Shepherd mix that defies definition in character and charm and intelligence. This girl is approximately 4-5 months old.And weighs twenty eight pounds. Her story is not uncommon in the south, but it definitely was one of abuse or more accurately qualified as neglect.  She was located in a very small pin that was outside with very little cover. No straw low temperatures and food thrown on the ground without a bowl and frozen water in the water bucket her owner was actually homeless and not even in the area due to illness.   We expected a very emotionally damaged girl as well as physically harmed, but that was not the case.   Our girl Kinsey is a survivor and a brilliant puppy. Full of life and resilience and confidence.  She adores other dogs young children comma is fine with cats.If that is what she needs to live with.  She has beautiful eyes that are the color of blue in one and brown in the other.  Her charming personality is bold happy and full of smiles an energy.  She embraces life with the full expectancy that she will give good and good will come back to her.And that is what we have promised her at critter cavalry rescue. We will not settle for anything but the best. And our hope is that she will have a home filled with laughter and activities thar also include a homd with a fenced yard, and long walks or jogs, along with excursions in the car that the best of great outdoor events. Kinsey is a dog that will make you live with a big soul and a ready expectation to good things to happen in your life.  She brings great karma to all who meet her.   If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained and undeniable beauty, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Story
We're about to change the life of this beautiful 3 year olf male tricolored Mini Aussie called Chip.  At approximately forty pounds of weight, this boy has spent most of his young life tied to a tree with very little kindness shown to him by demand that was his owner.  Fortunately, this dog is not behaviorally damaged or physically hurt.  We do know that loneliness and lack of love and kindness can cut deep on a soul, whether it be a human or an animal.  Chip is in a foster home staying with a woman that begged the man to please let her have this dog that was tied up in the 7 inches of snow. It took a while to convince the man to let him go. But we now rejoice in having him in our care and to be neutered on Monday, January 20tn. Chip's life will be forever changed.   Huse, loving so appreciative of the care and kind words spoken to him. He is great playing with other dogs and has discovered. What fun toys can be.  He's not really great on a leash, but that will come with time and practice.  Great training is underway, and that should go fine and quick.  He is housebroken, if you watch for signals, and we do know that cats are NOT a possibility for him to live with.  He is learning how to ride in a car and enjoy it. And he is transforming quickly, everyday, been to a great dog that promises to be someone's wonderful companion.   If you are interested in making Chip your very own and promising him the good life that he deserved from the day he was born, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue  at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 22, 2025, 10:27 pm

Please contact Jodi Rosenberg (jodi.rosenberg@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Gorgeous girl seeks adventure and love! MILA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Mila     Best Guess for Breed:  Australian Shepherd mix, with some other type of shepherd   Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of December 2024       Gender:   Female Approximate Weight:   45 lbs Gets Along With:Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested if you have them Currently Living At: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to come up after completing heartworm treatment Special Adoption Considerations: Mila is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Mila is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie with the gorgeous piercing blue eyes landed in the shelter through no fault of her own. She's eagerly looking forward to having her own humans again. Long sniffy walks, romps in the park, all those adventures to burn off that awesome young-dog energy - yes, please! She'd also love to go to dog school to show how super smart she is.  What she wants most of all, though, is to know she's safe and loved and under her own roof. To know she's a cherished part of a family. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship and to always put a smile on your face. What do you say? Is Mila the one you see by your side? Story
Meet Alice, our darling brown and white girl that has the most memorable face and sky high ears you have ever seen.   This girl was born around the middle of May and is thought to be combination of lots of breed influences.   For starters we think that Cattle Dog and Aussie might be a mixture that are dominant for her.  She is one smart little girl that adorable her foster family and all the other big dogs (several German Shepherds are her mentors and big sisters) and many foster cats are present as well in the home.  Her boundless happy puppy energy catapults her through the days as she grows in to a true beauty inside and out.  She is so playful and loving and always ready for the next BIG ADVENTURE!  She loves to chase toys and explore the backyard for new things to do and maybe a few squirrels to make friends with.  She absorbs whatever you teach her like a sponge.  Her foster mom is an excellent trainer and knows the importance of teaching manners and commands.  Her friendly nature makes her easy to meet new people and she is does not shy away from new experiences either.  She is a snuggler when she is tired and very loving as she sits beside you to watch a good TV show.  This girl will be an excellent recall pup since she is learning that now and is so eager to please and be with her humans.  If you are interested in this beauty who will grow to be a 45-50 pound girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Let us know where you live: city and state when you are inquiring. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 2, 2025, 2:07 pm
