Story
Meet Mama! Mama is approximately 5 years old and is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. I rescued mama about a year ago from a private owner who unfortunately did not disclose that Mama is not safe to be around kids. Unfortunately due to having children in my household I am unable to provide her a safe place to land. I’m looking for a home with no children or male dogs. Mama seems to get along better with female dogs and she loves cats. Mama is great on a leash , she’s potty trained, understands basic commands, and has good house obedience. Mama does not like small children in her space at all. Mama enjoys playing outside, pup cups, and a good belly rub. She’s the perfect dog if you do not have kids. Mama deserves a soft place to land and I’m hoping to find it for her.

Story
This is Diego. He's an 11 month old Aussie mix that needs a foster home. He was a "free dog" online and the original owners did not represent him honestly with the new owners. Things are not working out and he needs to be properly placed (after full vetting). He is scheduled dor neuter on Tuesday. We hope to have a foster in place by then. He's great with his people and FEMALE dogs. His behavior around cats is unknown because the family does not have cats. There was a pretty bad fight between Diego and the senior male dog in this family. Since the fight the family has been distrusting of his behavior around the four-year-old as well so to be safe they have kept them separate. This is why he has to go. For this reason, we do not want him fostered with male dogs until he has been vetted and properly evaluated. We also do not feel that he should be placed in a home with young children until vetting and evaluation. He's a beautiful boy and deserves a happily ever after. We can help him find it!! It may well be he just needs his testosterone to be taken care of. Many dogs settle down after neuter and it's never fair to these animals when the original owners do not divulge all the information to the new owners. We feel this is a combination of situations that has just worked against Diego. Foster application can be filled out through this link: https://petstablished.com/foster_form/31711/generic If you fill out a foster application please give our director a heads up as we do not have a volunteer readily responding to applications at this time. It helps us to know that one has been submitted. You may text Aspen at 352-843-6858 ##1357659##

Story
Buccee had to leave the family farm. He was caught harming a goat a few months ago and he had to go live with next of kin. He never bothered the horses or the poultry but he really caused some injury to a pygmy goat. She did survive but Buccee was (understandably) evicted. The next of kin has tried so hard to keep Buccee but he is just not well matched to the dynamics of their home or their life. It's not working for anyone. Especially not Buccee. He deserves the RIGHT home! So, let's talk about how AWESOME Buccee is! He is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd. He lives with and ADORES a 7 month old and a 4 year old (human children). He gets along great with the other dogs and the 3 cats. He is crate trained and loves people so much! He is fully vetted and very loving. Buccee is looking for a home on a farm.  Horses and dogs ok.  Buccee likes to be a working dog and loves to help out on the farm during the day and be a loving dog at night. ##2311025##
