Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Oakland Park, FL *This is a bonded pair and they will need to be adopted together. These dogs do not belong to ASF and haven’t been evaluated by ASF. The owner is surrendering them because they moved to Florida in 2024 and the dogs haven’t adjusted to the humidity, which causes them to overheat. The owner is also unable to provide the exercise that they need.* Meet Asher (red merle)! He is an 5 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 56 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention. Asher is good with kids, dogs and farm animals! He can be protective around strangers inside of the home, especially if they scream. No cats, because he will chase them! Meet Whiskey (red bi)! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention. Asher is good with kids, dogs and farm animals! He can be protective around strangers inside of the home, especially if they scream. No cats, because he will chase them! If you think you can provide a great home for Asher and Whiskey, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $300 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. Story
Snickers is a purebred almost 2 year old (Dec 2024) Miniature Australian Shepherd. Beautiful coloring and a lovely soft coat. A little shy at first but gets more confident. Cautious with people but does prefer women to men, cats and other dogs. He can be protective of his home. An energetic, alpha/pack leader owner and breed experience is preferred as he can nip and be a biter. Training has improved this behavior tremendously. Australian Shepherds need a very dedicated owner as they get very attached and protective, also: 1. Owners must invest time in training. 2. Aussie's need to be mentally stimulated and kept occupied as they are very intelligent. 3. They need rigorous daily exercise such as hiking, running and games of fetch. If you can provide a home to Snickers with these criteria, please complete an adoption application. Thank you $400 adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, and all vaccinations and preventatives up to date. Adopters should have the following: Single family home with fenced yard and preferably another pup to play and socialize with. Please, no long hours left alone and not crated for more than 4 hours. ** All canine pets should be altered, current on all required vaccinations, including rabies and on monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention. ** PawLife Rescue Group reserves the right to approve or deny any application for any reason. Story
We take the dogs that are adopted down...so if a dog is on the website they are available.   Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups.   Completion certificate for training needs to be emailed once complete.  When applying pictures/videos of your fully enclosed yard is needed. Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Sheriff: The One-Eyed, One-of-a-Kind Deputy of Fun! Howdy, folks! The name’s Sheriff, and I’m here to steal your heart, round up some belly rubs, and enforce one very important law—having fun is mandatory! Now, you might hear whispers about my past—something about a bumpy road, a broken leg, and an eye that decided to call it quits—but let me tell ya, none of that slows me down! I run, I jump, I wrestle with my doggy deputies, and I do it all with the biggest, goofiest puppy grin you’ve ever seen. Life is too short to dwell on the past when there are toys to chase, adventures to be had, and snacks to be eaten! I’m a social butterfly (or maybe a social cattle dog—whatever runs faster) and absolutely need a home with another playful pup to be my partner-in-crime. Wrestling matches, zoomie contests, synchronized napping—these are all serious daily events in my book. I also happen to be a people-loving, tail-wagging, snuggle-seeking pro who’s never met a stranger, only future best friends. I’m wicked smart, too! I already know sit, wait, down, and crate (because even cowboys need a rest sometimes). I even wait for my food like the polite gentleman I am. Training me? Easy peasy—just show me a treat, and I’m all ears (well, one eye and two ears, but you get the idea). Now, full disclosure—I do take some daily meds to manage a few leftover reminders from my rough start, but trust me, they don’t slow me down. If anything, they just keep me in tip-top shape so I can keep making mischief, playing with my buddies, and keeping my new family entertained 24/7. I’m available for both foster and adoption, so whether you’re ready to commit to a lifetime of fun or can offer me a temporary home while I wait for my forever family, I’d love to be part of your pack. If you’re looking for a pup who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your heart full, I’m your guy. So what do you say—ready to deputize me as your newest family member? Apply today and let’s ride off into the sunset together! A little more about me... They say I am approx 8 months old possibly my DOB is 7/20/2024.  I am now neutered/mircrochipped, fully vaccinated and on flea/hw preventative.  I also had my eye removed when I got neutered. Sheriff's adoption fee is $500 - obedience training is required after adoption and fully enclosed front or backyard is also required. Story
Zeus is a very friendly and energetic pal. He loves outdoor adventures and make new friends with other dogs. Zeus is very vocal when he plays and although may bark a lot, they're just invitations for dogs to come join him. Zeus might prefer people over dogs as he might say hi to the dog owners at the dog park first before playing with other dogs. Zeus needs patience as he might need some extended time to adjust to a new place. Zeus with do well with a house with a big yard as he needs to zoom around and release high puppy energy.

Story
Meet Shiva, a stunning 4-year-old purebred Australian Shepherd looking for a loving new home. Weighing 60 lbs, he is healthy, fully vaccinated, and full of life. Shiva has been raised on 7 acres, where he loves to romp and play, but his greatest joy is simply being with his owner. He is personable, & adorable. This loyal, affectionate, and well-behaved boy is: ✅ House-trained and never destructive ✅ Loves his toys (they keep him happily occupied) ✅ Great with other dogs ✅ Good with kids, though his excitement may be overwhelming for very young children at first ✅ Loves people – he “talks” with happy barks when he knows a walk is coming! Shiva has vibrant energy and needs daily exercise, making him best suited for an active person or family. A yard or space to run would be ideal. He will thrive with patient, kind, owners, willing to nurture his full potential. He does chase cats, but is not aggressive - just excited. Overall a fun, easily trainable best friend
