Story
Buble is a 2yr old aussie mix of some sort. He weighed in at 32lbs full grown with a lean stature at last vet appt. Great with other dogs and confident cats (he wants to play and bark at them if they run). Buble would do best in a home with a confident dog to play and snuggle with. Great with people but can be protective of his person and home so needs a family that can show him it's safe and he doesn't have to worry when someone new comes over. He's decent on a leash but does pull a little bit and knows some commands. Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/Dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- St. Petersburg, FL Parker is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 40 lbs. He is up to date on shots, but isn’t neutered or on heartworm prevention. Parker is nervous around strangers! He is good with children and dogs! He hasn’t been tested around cats. Parker has bitten the owner twice and his wife once. The first time he bit the owner was in November 2023. The owner went to pick up a toy while Parker was under a chair, which led to Parker biting his left foot. Parker also bit his wife on a separate occasion while she was petting him on the couch. She tried to push him away and he bit her left arm. The most recent bite was on 6/12/24. The owner came home late. Parker was sitting in the hallway against the wall. The owner tried getting close to him, resulting Parker biting his left hand. The owner is surrendering him because of these bite incidents. They’re also expecting a baby. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Parker, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Parker. Owner’s Contact Information: Rodrigo at rodoliveirarealtor@gmail.com.

Story
Trinket is a 4 month old Australian Shepherd mix, (mom is a PB Aussie, dad is unknown) who will need to be spayed at the age appropriate time. She is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and has her Rabies and 6 month Bordetella shots, as well as all her puppy shots. Trinket is a fun, loving, friendly, and full of spunk. She LOVES people and will require plenty more training especially in the potty department. She is getting better with it, she just can't hold it as long as she'd like to. She is crate trained but does better with a chew in her cage. She can be a handful but is sweet and willing to learn, loves to use her nose to find things to eat. And enjoys using snuffle mats. She loves playing in water, with other puppies, and older dogs. She can be a digger but is easily redirected if you're watching her. She also has what her foster mom calls punchy paws, where she likes to greet you with her paws and do just about everything with them. She will also need a lot more work on the leash, she's good just needs training. She's also a lawn mower in the fact she loves to eat grass while outside. She is scared of cats, but still curious, typically won't chase them especially if they're used to dogs and don't run. She likes to watch horses but doesn't have a huge interest in following them along the fence line. Not sure how she would do with children but I imagine she may knock down little ones down and lick them. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She knows sit, lay down, paw, stay, and is learning leave it. She's quick to learn new commands, and very food motivated. She is still in the puppy play stage so she's still learning not to puppy play with humans in the same way as other puppies and still gives play nibbles here and there but she's a good girl. She's a good passenger in the car but loves to chew things so she'll need to be tethered and have some chew toys in the car until the chew faze is over. She tends to whine a little out of boredom but sops after a while. Requirements: * Fenced yard * Meet and greet * More training * A home that will fix her at the age appropriate time * dog or dogs who are great with puppies because she loves to give other dogs kisses and loves to play Available in New Port Richey, FL If Trinket sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family and a $50 REFUNDABLE spay deposit which will be refunded upon proof of procedure. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
