Story
Who is GREAT with kids?? MINI! She LOVES kids and an active household is her favorite! She is playful, loving, and cuddly! Mini loves to play with other dogs, loves people, is good with kids, and ignores the cats in her home. She loves to snuggle, is crate trained at night, and is working on housetraining. She knows "sit and is working on "down. She's very treat motivated so should be easy to train for her future family! Oh and did we mention that she has a bob tail like her parents? It's super cute! See momma is an Australian Shepherd and dad is a Cane Corso- her owners owned both parents! We think that she will reach about 45-50 ish pounds or so based on her size right now. She currently weighs about 38 pounds and is 7 months old If you are interested in adopting Mini, please fill out an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-7710 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. Story
URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Auburn, AL Meet River! She is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 45 lbs. She is microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t spayed. River is fearful of strangers! She is good with other dogs! She hasn’t been tested around younger children or cats. No children, due to her reactivity! River is housebroken and crate-trained. The owner is surrendering her because they are unable to provide the time and attention that she needs, which has increased her anxiety. They are also wanting to have children in the future and are unable to afford training for her. She needs to go by 8/1! If you think you can provide a great home for River, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing River. Owner’s Contact Information: Emily at emily16marie@gmail.com.

Story
Missy is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix, and is so soft inside and out. Her silky fur and golden eyes are both striking features of this gorgeous girl! She came in to the shelter with her sister MacKenzie, and they currently live in the same pen. They get along very well, and can be adopted together or separately. Missy is a little shyer than her sister, but warms up to new people after a short while. Soft treats and pets are good ways to her heart. Missy is also a little unsure about the leash when it is first being put on her, but she walks very well once she is on the leash. After just a couple walks together, she is already learning that the leash is a wonderful thing! It’s clear that Missy is a smart girl, and would love to learn more in her new home. Could that be with you? Be sure to meet this sweet girl and find out!  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm.
