Story
Dynamyte is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray and was never claimed. This energetic guy is ready to find an active family who can keep up with his lively spirit. He loves being outside and is always up for an adventure! Dynamyte is still working on his manners, but with some training, he’ll make a fantastic companion. He’s dog-friendly, so if you already have a dog at home, a meet-and-greet will be required to ensure they’re a good fit together. Dynamyte’s adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test, and various other treatments. If you're looking for an energetic, fun-loving dog to join your active family, Dynamyte could be the perfect match for you!

Story
The first thing you need to know about Geordi is that she is not an immediately friendly dog. It takes at least half hour of treats and praise and working slowly and carefully to get her to tolerate a stranger touching her. She has never snapped at anyone (would prefer to move away from something scary), but please never corner a scared animal. Once you earn her trust, she will give you her whole heart and soul! Cuddly, friendly, affectionate, amazing recall! 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 They wouldn't let me write a long post, so I made a page with Google Docs. Copy and paste this link into your browser. Story
- Great girl who spent time in a foster home; liked to be her foster family's shadow and be wherever they were - Loves walks, naps, scratches and cuddles - Knows sit and down, does amazing on a leash, and her foster family said she was great about not barking when seeing other people or dogs on walks - Has a habit of lying very still on her back for a long period of time - don't be alarmed, she's OK! - Seems to be a fan of water and wanted to climb into the shower with her foster family - Did well with kids in her foster home and will do best in a home where all family members are mature enough to give her time to settle in and help her build confidence - Can coexist with other dogs, but tends to be more comfortable with some dogs than others and may prefer a calmer friend; at times of high arousal she can be less apt to respect other dogs' boundaries, so if she goes to a home with other dogs, break times will be beneficial for decompression (dog intro recommended) - We don't know her history with cats but she may be a bit much for them - Needs a home with no chickens - Foster family said she can be selective about her food and does best with a mix of wet and dry All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 44 Age: 5yrs 2mths 1wks
