Meet Gunner.... This handsome boy is a lover. He loves all toys, but ball is life for this one. He loves the beach and walks in the woods. He does well on a tie out, with invisible fence and a traditional fence. He comes when called and knows many commands. Gunner is a great running/adventure partner! He does well with dogs and cats but cares much more about being with a human. He communicates to other dog's if he doesn't like something by giving a little growl and walking away from the other dog.Gunner's only issue is his anxiety, specifically separation anxiety. He takes Fluoxetine for his condition, which costs $8 per month. You can see his anxiety when he realizes you are about to leave. He paces and will bark when you leave. If it isn't too hot outside, he will be happy to go with you and will wait patiently in the car. As I have been fostering him, I have found exercise with the opportunity to sniff and a little love is enough to make him calm and relaxed the rest of the day.I am committed to finding a good home for Gunner and keeping him out of a shelter.
