East Tn and out of state is welcome! In fact if you are seeing this on adopt a pet please note the pet is being fostered in Athens TN and the adoption fee does include the transport fee as well as the health certificate required by the USDS for state to state travel. We use Rescue riders because they are the best and so great with our pups! Meet Aster. He has already been dewormed twice, had two rounds of puppy shots, bordetella vaccine, microchipped and neutered. We are accepting applications for them at petpath.org. He will come with a leash and collar as well as his records. We are told he is about 12 weeks old now. He is one cool confident and cute pup!!! He is also playful, sweet. All of these pups have great confidence. He is great with other dogs too. The momma dog passed away and the finders are uncertain why. She was malnourished emaciated and just passed away. She was found with these puppies under a shed. The property owners moved and left the momma dog. The finder was paid to move the shed and found them and couldn’t leave them there. They fed and took care of them for three weeks. We are thankful they have a heart and helped this little family. Now it’s our turn to help get their vaccines and spay and neutered and them find amazing homes. This boy was brought back because he was too much of a puppy who chewed because he was left alone and bored. So he is on the hunt for a family who will understand his needs and keep him busy!! He has a lot of energy and playing is his thing. He likes to play with other dogs, chew on toys and run run run. He does fine with kids, will have to learn about cats. He will need some work on housetraining and leashes. He is a bit stubborn when learning manners so will need a family who can work with that. A routine that occupies his time would also be a plus as that works with his breed mix. He is a sweet boy that has a wonderfully fun personality who just wants to live to the fullest. He needs a life full of adventures and activities and we know that family is out there for him. Dax is being fostered in TN but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

Princess is a 3 y/o friendly mixed breed Australia shepherd she gets along with children and people. She’s potty trained and house trained. She is still a bit hyper but with walks she’s a lot calmer. I have a cat at home which she has known since a pup the most she’ll do is bark at her.

Story
Hi!  My name is Scout and I am looking for a forever home.  My owner loved me a lot and when he was deployed and could not find anyone in his family to take me, he contacted a small local rescue about helping him.  Options were explored with my owner including finding a long-term foster but he didn't want that and wanted him to go to a home.  A volunteer with that rescue then contacted BCAA to see if they could help and they said yes!  I am what is known as a red aussie and I'm about 18mos old and weight right about 55lbs.  I'm a super smart boy and my previous owner had started doing some training with me (sit, down, stay), all of which will need to be reinforced but I'm up for the challenge if you are (especially if treats are involved!).  I can be a little picky about who I like so a meet-n-greet would need to be done if you have another dog, but I have ignored those things called cats as they don't interest me at all.  I have done really good in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding, and I go right into when asked, turn around and wait for you to give me a treat.  I am pretty good on leash but do pull some in my excitement on being out with you and going on an adventure.  I am an active boy and my ideal home is one where I can be given a job, even if it's keeping you in shape with walking and hiking (my foster mom says I would probably be great at agility).  I love my food and treats which I will sit for and take gently.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org. Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
