Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 38 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Meet Handsome Cooper.  This beautiful Australian Shepherd is 8 years old and only 24 lbs.  Cooper is a ball of energy and you would never guess that he was more than 3 years old.  He is having the time of his life now that he has a huge fenced in yard where he runs and plays.  He is not used to all this space as he had no yard before.  He only got walked for exercise.  Cooper came to Critter Cavalry because his mom could no longer take care of him.  This active guy loves people.  Cooper would enjoy an active family that will take him on walks and hikes.  He is smart too and would love a family that would teach him things.  He knows how to walk on a leash and doesn't pull.  He is the perfect companion for someone who would like to teach him commands or even agility.  Cooper has lived as an only dog and would be fine getting all the attention.  A fenced in yard is a must for this guy and when you see how much he enjoys it you will understand.  Cooper loves people and just wants to be where you are.  He is a very sweet and loving little guy.  He will be an excellent addition to your family.  Cooper has been neutered, is current on all his shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and he has had a dental.  To be considered for his forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Cooper is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
Louie is an 8 year old, incredibly smart and loyal, knows every trick under the sun, and loves LOVES his people. He is energetic and loves to play ball, go on walks, and hikes. Unfortunately he has become increasingly territorial over our home and us over the past 2 years since we had our son. He must meet strangers in a neutral location, and once they have met, they will no longer be a stranger. We do not feel like we are giving him the attention he needs to thrive. He would be an incredible herding dog or a dog that has a job. His energy turns into anxiety if it is not manifested into something else. We worry as our family grows, or time will lessen for him and these behaviors could become worse and we want to ensure everyone is safe and happy, including him.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Lenoir, NC Meet Ranger! He is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs around 40 lbs. He isn’t neutered, up to date on shots, or on heartworm prevention. Ranger is nervous around strangers! He is good with cats and dogs! No children, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Ranger nipped the owner’s autistic son who was creeping up on him. Ranger doesn’t like slow movements. He is currently living with the owner’s mother. The owner is surrendering him because he has anger issues and food aggression. He also doesn’t do well with kids or men. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Ranger, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Ranger. Owner’s Contact Information: Whitney at whitneylee00@gmail.com.
