Story
URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Pittsburg, PA Meet Jackson! He is an 4 year old Toy Australian Shepherd that weighs 23 lbs. He is registered through the Stock Dog Registry. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Jackson hasn’t been tested around cats. No dogs or children, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Jackson has anxiety and fear issues, so he will need help on training with this in his new home. He takes 20mg of fluoxetine daily for his anxiety. Jackson is a reactive resource guarder and has snapped at the owner’s grandson. When taking ownership of something he thought belonged to him, he has also snapped, lunged at, and bit the owner. The owner is surrendering him because she has tried to work with him on his reactivity, but he hasn’t improved. He needs to go by 7/31! If you think you can provide a great home for Jackson, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Jackson. Owner’s Contact Information: Lindie at mdroulia310@gmail.com.

Story
Hello, my name is Kaylee! I'm a MINI Aussie Shepherd mix, weighing only 30 lbs. I'm 1.5 years old but wise beyond my years.....eh, year. I was previously with a family that did not have time for me and kept me crated a lot. I do well with not going potty in my crate, but I can be a little whiney when in there. I'm just sick of that life! I'd rather be exploring or getting cuddles. I can be a little anxious at first, and may be more outgoing in a home without so many dogs (6-7 in foster home). I'm just very gentle, not pushy, and will quietly wait my turn for love. I do great with the other dogs though! We love to play and wrestle all over the house. I am great on a leash and do well in the car also. I would love a family to build my confidence and show me the world.

Latte: A milder, sweeter and creamy blend of your daily dose of caffeine! Hey there, I'm Latte - a youngish year old 67lb pup who loves to play and make new friends! People often say I'm quite the character, and I have plenty of unique traits that make me who I am. For instance, I'm a total treat connoisseur and will do anything for a snack. I'm also a friendly, playful, and smart pup, but I don't know many dog friends yet, so I'll need some help with socialization. If you're looking for an energetic and fun companion, then look no further! My ideal home would be one where I can get lots of exercise and attention, especially if we have some treats along the way. Just one thing - I tend to gravitate towards people who are just as unique and playful as I am. If you're active and love being a snack connoisseur as much as I do, I'm sure we'll become the best of pals in no time! What better way to spend the day then an adventure followed by bingeing on snacks as we cuddle on the couch!! If you're searching for a fur-iend to share in your adventurous life style, then I'm your boy!!

Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc.
