Aurora came to us on one of the coldest, snowiest days of the year. Her previous owners informed us that she lived outside on a chain her whole life. The pictures we received of her standing in the snow were enough for us; we knew this girl deserved more! Since Aurora joined the AHHS, we have discovered what a loving, happy dog this is! She is joyful and friendly to every dog, cat, and human that crosses her path. Yes, she's considered a senior, but don't let that fool you! She's got quite a lot of energy and LOVES playing outdoors! She would make someone the best hiking buddy ever. Aurora deserves a home in which she can live out the rest of her years comfortably and, most importantly, indoors! Story
Atlas is just over a year old, born completely deaf! He's up to date on all shots and was just neutered a couple months ago. He is crate trained and knows "sit" and "come here" in ASL. He has lived with cats and dogs (and does currently) and has had no issues. We love Atlas, but unfortunately need to rehome him because we discovered that our cat is absolutely terrified of larger dogs. We tried to make it work, but our animals just aren't compatible. We feel awful, because Atlas hasn't done anything to make the cat scared of him. He NEEDS someone who has the time, money, and energy to train a deaf dog. The only issue we've had with him is that he is aggressive towards the vet. No one else at the vet's office, never other animals, just specifically the vet themself. He also sometimes freaks out if a stranger surprises him, due to being deaf. He comes with his vet paperwork, a heavy duty leash/harness, collar, crate, etc.

Odie is a happy, energetic, five year old Australian Shepherd. He is a - 60lb, blue Merle, who has been has AKC registered. Odie is a cuddle bug who loves to be near his person. Odie is in need of a home with much more room to run and no children. He’d be a wonderful companion for someone who can show him the love and attention he needs as well as provide a space to release some of his energy! He is so loyal and plays well with other dogs and cats. He is up to date on his shots, is neutered and has had regular vet visits. He is a good, loving dog, but needs to have a home to run with no children. He will be someone’s best boy!

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Kingsport, TN *This dog doesn’t belong to ASF and hasn’t been evaluated by ASF.* Meet Luca! He is an 6 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs around 50 lbs. He is neutered and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t up to date on shots. Luca is good with cats! He hasn’t been tested around children. He is good with the dogs inside of the home, but hasn’t been tested around dogs outside of the home. He was living outside in the cold when he lived with his previous owner. The current owner took him in to get him out of the cold and is trying to find a new home for him. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Luca, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. Say hello to Duke!! He is an approx 3 year old Australian Shepherd that is the sweetest love bug ever! He loves dogs, cats, people, everything! His downfall is he will clear any fence and will come when he wants to. He is trained on invisible fence, however, and is very good with that! He will not escape a fence if you are in the yard with him but he just wants to be with his people so he will escape if left alone. Duke loves to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with a fun furry playmate. He would love an active family that will take him on adventures and let him snuggle with them at the end of the day. He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area.
