He’s an 8 month old, Australian Shepherd who weighs 43.4 pounds. Poncho is seeking an active family to keep him social an engaged in lots of activities. He enjoys toys of all kinds, and does great on a leash for walks. Poncho is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. He is 100% Aussie so a home with breed experience will be ideal. He is house and crate trained and knows how to sit on command. He’s a whip smart puppy who is treat motivated and highly eager to please, so needs a job to do, which could be agility, frisbee, or long walks or dog park play time. Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption.
