Story
Mishka is very sweet and loving and gets along very well with all other dogs we have and our daughters have...EXCEPT one. Mishka has a very strong hunter instinct for squeeks and squeals. Our Miniature Pinscher, when excited, seems to have the ideal soudn to "trigger" Mishka. We've tried for some time to "make it work" but sadly we have to choose this option for everyone's well being. Mishka has NEVER been aggressive to a person. She does not bite even for play. She will snuggle on the couch but is also very independent and will find her own places around the house so definitely not a clingy dog. We love her very much and hate to have to make this very hard decision but it is ultimately the best thing now. We want her to be happy in her new home and she will get along well with similar sized or larger dogs. She hates a harness but likes to walk. But once the harness is on her, she is fine.

Story
Hi, my name is Bubbles and I am a pure bread miniature Australian Shepard. My owner passed away a while back and I am being fostered with my friend Beatrice by a family in Leander, TX. I am about 8 years old, weight about 25 pounds and am a very affectionate dog. I like to lie my head on your lap and get pet almost as much as I like dog treats. My foster family takes good care of me and all my shots are up to date with regular trips to see my veterinarian in Lago Vista. I do not bark very much, but I will let you know when someone is at the door or when a squirrel gets in my yard. I am crate trained and don't mind spending a few hours there while you go to work or go shopping. I can't stay at my foster home much longer so Beatrice and I are looking for a new home and we would love to become your new best friends.

Story
COMING SOON-Introducing Pluto, the puppy superstar who's ready to try out for a spot in his forever home! Originally surrendered due to his owner's allergies, Pluto has quickly settled into his foster home and is eager to showcase his Olympic gold-medal-worthy qualities to his future adopter. Pluto is excelling in all the puppy basics, proving he's got what it takes to be an Olympic hopeful. He's quickly mastering potty training and hasn't had any accidents when taken out consistently. When it's time for a nap, Pluto settles into his crate like a pro, sleeping soundly through the night without any fuss. He's a quick learner, already mastering the art of sitting quietly for a treat. This boy is eager to learn more skills, and training should be a breeze! When it comes to athleticism, Pluto prefers to cheer on the track and field stars instead of being one. While he can occasionally get the zoomies, Pluto is fairly laid back and happily plops down for a nap after playtime. He'd thrive in a lower to medium activity home with someone who doesn't mind letting him sleep in each morning! Pluto is a team player—he's a brave and confident pup, quickly making friends with both humans and dogs alike. Pluto has shown excellent play manners with his adult doggie foster sisters. While Pluto could be the only dog in the home, ideally he'd have a doggie sibling to continue helping him learn the ropes of being a certified good boy. Pluto has also been introduced to cats and is quickly learning to respect the resident feline. While Pluto would sweep the podium in most categories, he's working on gaining his confidence with loud or abrupt noises, like other dogs barking. He runs to his foster mom for cuddles and comfort—with gradual exposure and lots of positive reinforcement, he's sure to overcome this hurdle and earn his gold. Overall, Pluto is a happy, go-lucky pup who's ready to compete for a spot in your heart and home. If you're looking for an Olympic hopeful to bring joy, love, and a touch of gold-medal-worthy behavior to your life, Pluto is your pup! Here is our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an addtional REFUNDABLE $50 neuter deposit which will be refunded upon proof of procedure and a $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
We got Bernie when he was about 8 weeks old around December of 2019. He a miniature tri-color Australia Shepherd. His fur is silky and his tail is docked. His eyes are brown with a blue/gray swirl at the bottom of both eyes. He loves to be outdoors(he sleeps and spend the rest of his time indoors), loves water and is very energetic and smart! He gets along with the cat and the kids. He would be better as an only dog as he does take the role of protecting the family. So he would be a great watch dog. We’re getting old and no long have the energy to spend as much time to keep him active throughout the day. And due to downsizing, we’re having to part with some of our animals. But we’d love for them to go with a young family or person who would love a companion who shares the same energy.
