Story
Meet Bronx… Bronx was found abandoned, tied to a bench in Hartford CT recently… Bronx is 3-4 years old about 55lbs… Bronx is an active bulldog he however does not know his limits, his time outside in the heat does need to be limited but he doesn’t know it, he could easily overheat himself if given the opportunity… Bronx’s listening skills need some work, we thought he was possibly deaf but have learned he has some serious selective bulldog hearing… He has been a great boy since coming to us, he has gotten along with dogs he’s met a meet and greet is a must with any dog sibling… We leaned at the vet he does not like being restrained he can get a bit upset… We are looking for an adult only home with no cats… Bronx is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and he had a dental done and a few teeth pulled… Applications can be filled out @ wwk9rescue.com

Story
Meet Archie!!! Archie came to us from a local municipal pound after being left to fend for himself (with another dog) in an abandoned building… Archie is about 6 years old he’s neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, an certified good boy… We are looking for an adult only bulldog experienced home… We don’t know Archie’s past but he seems a tad nervous in new environments… He is lacking in the manners department but we are working on that with him… He will need a nice quiet home that will continue to work with him to be the best boy he can be… He has gotten along with dogs he’s met, he doesn’t like to share however, which is understandable seeing he was literally found starving to death… Let’s make this year his best and get him into his forever home soon!!! Applications can be filled out at wwk9rescue.com

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.5/7/24 Happy Toothsday! These sweet girls are still available for adoption. They both have spina bifida which has left them completely incontinent. They wear diapers and do great staying clean with just a couple of diaper changes daily, and they sleep in a crate with a grate in the bottom at night so they can 'air out.' Aside from that, they are healthy and fully vetted. These little girls are just a joy to have. They have endless amounts of love to give, but they are excellent at playing together and entertaining themselves as well. They are very well behaved. They are happy to get any attention, but are not demanding if you are busy. They don't get into things they shouldn't, they are good about playing with their toys. They are strictly a package deal and absolutely will not be seperated, even if that means they stay here forever. But I would love for them to find a home with someone who can give them more time and attention than I can. I have spent a small fortune on them- beyond the regular vetting, I've also had soft palate surgery on Poundcake and cherry eye surgery on Shortbread, and then the cost of their diapers as they have grown, diapers liners, suspenders, etc. But I don't expect to get all of that back. This is the nature of rescue. The main goal is to find a home for them with someone who can afford to keep them in diapers and has the time to give them. With that said, they are not free and do have an adoption fee that is appropriate for their breed. It is a big commitment to have 2 dogs in diapers. But once you get into a routine, it's very easy to keep them comfortable, clean, and happy. These girls get along very well with other dogs and they love kids as well. Growing up in rescue, they have become a little bit shy with new people, only because they haven't been around many people besides us. But they warm up very quickly. Poundcake (brown and white) is the more cuddly of the two. She loves to sit in a lap, give all the kisses, and just snuggle as much as possible. Shortbread (brindle and white) is the more busy, playful of the two. She also loves to cuddle but once she's had her loves, she is ready to get down and play. Neither are high energy dogs. In fact they are the typical, slow, kind of lazy English Bulldogs. Short bursts of playful energy followed by a long nap is their jam. They are about 6-7 months old and weigh about 35 lbs each. They are located in Arkansas but transport to some New England states is available. To apply:You can find my form 'ADOPT A STRAY RESCUE' at: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059Message me directly or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
This boy was dumped off at an auction place by his owners. Apparently their new landlord wouldn’t let him stay and that was their solution. He waited for them but was caught by a volunteer's house and brought in. He is a sweet, sweet boy who was definitely cared for. We’re positive he is housetrained and does well on a leash. He does well around other dogs his size, have not put him with smaller dogs. We aren’t sure about cats but know he can learn those manners. He loves to be around people, does well with kids and would love to go on any adventure with his new family. He would do best in a yard to get some energy out but it doesn't have to be too big…. just something he can walk around in but extra walks or dog park would do best for him. He is just a big lover who was let down by one family and is hoping for a second chance with a new one. Hank is being fostered in TN at this time but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

Story
SHYLAestimated 2 years old, female lab/pit mix, good with dogs, selective with cats, recommended for older children 15 or above, because of activity level. crate trained.Shyla, like her name is a little shy at first meetings but warms up quickly. She is very energetic and will need someone to work on her manners and be consistent with her training. She loves to play with other dogs but will need one that is tolerant of her rough play and non stop fun. She loves to hang with her person and Is learning to play with toys, can be a mouthy player as she is still in puppy stage. She will need a special person to put up with her antics and someone who has experience with dogs, not good for a persons first dog. If you're looking for a friend to spoil, here she is.Please note we do not have a central kennel facility, all of our pets are located in foster homes. The first step in meeting one of our furry friends is to fill out an application on our website at www.rainbowrescues.org. A volunteer will be in contact with you in 1-2 business days to review your application and speak with you about the adoption process. **Please be aware that we are not responsible for inaccurate information on some cross-posted sites such as inaccurate adoption fees and inaccurate pet info.**August 15, 2024, 6:56 am
