Story

Hamilton is 8 months old and is a very laid back, friendly puppy. He loves everyone he meets and gets along well with other dogs and loves children too. His only minor flaw right now is that he is not 100% housebroken yet- (although he is very close and tries hard), so will need a home where he is not left alone for long periods of time and someone who can be patient while he is adjusting to his new environment. He did have an accident when he was 4 months old (jumped out of kitchen sink while getting a bath) and fractured the top of his femur, so he had an FHO surgery performed and he made a full recovery and has no exercise restrictions (he is not very active to begin with). I will be very particular with where he goes as I love him and have put a lot of financial commitment into him in a short period of time, so his rehoming fee is not negotiable.

MEET ACE! - Crate Trained and Potty Trained! Ace is in a foster home. Please contact the Dedham shelter to schedule a meet with him. This handsome devil could be your Ace of Spades! Ace is what we like to call a pocket bully with his adorable stocky stature and his short legs, however there is nothing miniature about his personality! He is truly the happiest dude around. He loves toys, walks, dog friends and attention from his people (or any people). He has worked really hard to heal from an injury and is quickly adjusting back to normal dog life. As he is still recovering, it will be important for him to go to a home that does not have many stairs. He is fully crate and house trained and loves his schedule. He is perfectly content to take a walk around the block and hang by your side chomping away on a treat or toy. He is a strong dude and would do best with adults or older kids. He is a perfect companion who wants nothing more than some people to love (and a bunch of toys to chomp). Ace is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team.For more information on Ace or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. He can be dog selective so our team will encourage several meet and greets for interested adopters with other dogs (remember: we ALWAYS want to set adopters up for success. This handsome boy is active and loves to run and play with his toys. He is extremely smart and is a very fast learner. He walks well on a leash and loves to explore. He is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered. Unfortunately, due to past issues with landlords/housing/insurance, a restricted breed policy is in place for Bully breed/Pit Bull type dogs. This means that you must own your home and provide proof of homeownership to adopt a Bully breed/Pit Bull dog or puppy.
