Meet Zoe the 2yr Bulldog/Catahoula! Zoe is a very sweet and energetic girl. She loves spending her day zooming around the backyard, playing with doggy friends and chewing on her toys. She also loves jumping up on the couch for some cuddles when she gets tired. Zoe does great with other dogs, both small and large. She does love to play quite rough but she listens very well when told to settle down. She has not been around cats before; however we feel she would do well with a proper introduction. Zoe does well with older children as well. Zoe is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She is also crate trained and house trained. Meet Smoke the 3.5yr Bulldog/Exotic Bully mix! Smoke has had quite the medical journey over the past year. You would never be able to tell with how happy and sweet of a boy he is. He is looking for a special family who is willing to love him and keep up with his medical condition and needs. In return, he promises to be the best and most loyal companion! Smoke suffers from IBD. Unfortunately, the severity of his condition has resulted in him having multiple rectal prolapses over the past 6mths. His last prolapse was in early April of this year. To prevent another occurrence, he is on a very strict prescription diet and daily laxatives to keep his stool as consistent as possible. His vet strongly recommends that he receives a specialized coloplexy surgery to further prevent any prolapses in the future. Despite his health challenges, Smoke is a goofy and playful boy. He is your typical bulldog and is mostly lazy, although he does get bursts of energy throughout the day. He loves laying around with his favorite toys and going for short walks. He also loves getting belly scratches! Smoke absolutely loves every person he meets, although sometimes doesn't have the best manners when greeting new people. He has been working hard on not jumping up on people. Because of his bulldog bulldozing ways, we do not recommend him in a home with small children. Smoke is dog selective and tends to not like large breed friends or dominant male dogs. He would do best in an only pet household, or a household with a submissive female sibling. He has not been tested with cats. Smoke is up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is also house trained and crate trained. Story

Lucy is a 5 or so yo English bulldog mix that was adopted from the humane society, where she came in as a stray. She is highly reactive to dogs, cats, squirrels, etc. She craves a lot of attention and currently takes anxiety meds. She is sometimes agitated with my kids, 15 and 11, and previously bit my 11 year old. We also have a busy schedule and are not spending enough time at home with her. I feel she would do best in a home with only adults and someone who is home most days to be with her. She is crate trained, potty trained, up to date on all vaccines and hw and pest prevention. She can stay home alone for several hour stretches but I feel that should be the exception. She does not travel well due to being anxious and dog reactive. She needs a companion who can work with her issues and provide some training and behavioral training. She also has borderline dry eye, currently not on meds and had a lower lid lift a few months ago to correct entropion.

She will let you know she has to go potty by going to the door or letting out a bark or 2. She is fully vetted. Spayed and has all her vaccines. Dolly is a lazy girl but will always meet you wagging her little nub. Story

This boy was dumped off at an auction place by his owners. Apparently their new landlord wouldn’t let him stay and that was their solution. He waited for them but was caught by a volunteer's house and brought in. He is a sweet, sweet boy who was definitely cared for. We’re positive he is housetrained and does well on a leash. He does well around other dogs his size, have not put him with smaller dogs. We aren’t sure about cats but know he can learn those manners. He loves to be around people, does well with kids and would love to go on any adventure with his new family. He would do best in a yard to get some energy out but it doesn't have to be too big…. just something he can walk around in but extra walks or dog park would do best for him. He is just a big lover who was let down by one family and is hoping for a second chance with a new one. Hank is being fostered in TN at this time but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

Vince, his mother Virginia and his two siblings, Victor, and Vanilla are in a shelter that is overfull and will need to make space shortly. ALL OF THEM ARE ON THE URGENT LIST! The poor momma was a stray that no one would help. She finally wandered up to an empty house to have her babies and thankfully someone called trying to find help for her. Vince is the leader of his pack. He is wide open in the play yard, and he loves a tennis ball. He will not jump on you for attention, but he makes his wishes clear by wiggling his butt all around you and gazing up with puppy eyes until you notice him. Vince seems good with kids and other dogs but just make sure you introduce them properly as he thinks he should be in charge! He is super sweet and playful and very smart. He is coming along well with leash walking and potty training and relishes love, and attention. Vince is currently in TN but the transport to your area is included in your fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
