CODY is a three year-old English bulldog with spina bifida. This is most likely a result of inbreeding which unscrupulous breeders do to obtain unusual colors or a shortened stature. We obtained Cody when his owners felt that euthanasia was their only option. He is not mobility challenged in anyway, but he lacks tone on his tushy and does not have complete control over his poops. He will also dribble urine but has the ability to release his bladder outside. A strict schedule, good diet and a male wrap take care of 99% of his oopsies. Cody is a sweetheart! He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home and he loves to run! He's pretty athletic for an English Bulldog and, as long as you avoid high humidity days, he's pretty heat tolerant and can walk up to 2 miles. Cody seems to love the water! What he loves most of all is to ride in the car! Cody will make a wonderful copilot – again, just have to be careful of the heat with bulldogs. Cody has a little bit of separation anxiety and anxiety that makes him reactive on a leash. His foster mom is working on these issues but it will be a work in progress. Cody will most likely require more veterinary care than the average bulldog. He is available to a family with similar experience and excellent veterinary references. The first step is to fill out an application at www.companimals.org. and once approved, we will set up a series of meet and greets and a home visit with Cody. Adoption $500. Should Cody require an MRI at any time in the future, his foster mom will personally pledge $100 towards his MRI. She has quickly learned the joys of relaxing on a soft blanket, stretching out in the shade outside, and being pampered. Victoria is a people dog - she loves to be right near your feet no matter where you are. She greet her foster mom with a silly dance and lots of snorts and grunts! If she can reach your lap, you better believe she'll be there! Her ideal family would have experience with bully breeds and the patience to continue with her training. She was diagnosed with dry eye, and will be on medication lifelong. She is getting along well with the larger dog in her foster home but will need a home without small dogs or cats. Doris is in her golden years ☀️ she’s around 7-8 years old. She is the sweetest girl. She just wants a comfortable couch and lots of love ❤️ she is very low energy and enjoys short walkies. She likes to play with stuffies for a little while and then will finish with a nap. She is crate and potty trained. And lovessssss peanut butter. Doris was diagnosed with chronic dry eye so her forever family will need to apply drops a few times a day for life. Due to her eye condition, she does have some impaired vision but it doesn't impair her ability to get around.

This boy was dumped off at an auction place by his owners. Apparently their new landlord wouldn’t let him stay and that was their solution. He waited for them but was caught by a volunteer's house and brought in. He is a sweet, sweet boy who was definitely cared for. We’re positive he is housetrained and does well on a leash. He does well around other dogs his size, have not put him with smaller dogs. We aren’t sure about cats but know he can learn those manners. He loves to be around people, does well with kids and would love to go on any adventure with his new family. He would do best in a yard to get some energy out but it doesn't have to be too big…. just something he can walk around in but extra walks or dog park would do best for him. He is just a big lover who was let down by one family and is hoping for a second chance with a new one. Hank is being fostered in TN at this time but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

Vince, his mother Virginia and his two siblings, Victor, and Vanilla are in a shelter that is overfull and will need to make space shortly. ALL OF THEM ARE ON THE URGENT LIST! The poor momma was a stray that no one would help. She finally wandered up to an empty house to have her babies and thankfully someone called trying to find help for her. Vince is the leader of his pack. He is wide open in the play yard, and he loves a tennis ball. He will not jump on you for attention, but he makes his wishes clear by wiggling his butt all around you and gazing up with puppy eyes until you notice him. Vince seems good with kids and other dogs but just make sure you introduce them properly as he thinks he should be in charge! He is super sweet and playful and very smart. He is coming along well with leash walking and potty training and relishes love, and attention. Vince is currently in TN but the transport to your area is included in your fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
