Hello, my name is Bertha. I am an approx. 5 year old female English Bulldog mix that weighs approx. 39 lbs. I was found off Horizon/Tubbs in Rockwall on 2/22/25 and never reclaimed. So now I am available for adoption and hoping to find a person or family that has experience with my breed and over all needs. I am big on personal space especially around my face. I do have some vision impairment caused by which makes me a little more cautious with my head and face. My vision impairment is due to chronic dry eye that had gone untreated for a long period of time. Chronic dry eye can be treated easily with eye drops twice a day, but I will need the drops for the rest of my life. I get along with other dogs, but as always, a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption if you have other dogs in the home. I walk great on a leash and enjoy going for short brisk walks. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, current on my rabies, microchipped, and my basic yearly boosters are up to date. I am heartworm positive but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I will be able to receive treatment for my heartworm disease at little to no cost to my adopters. DALLAS-FORT WORTH AREA ADOPTION ONLY Lola came to us after someone rescued her from a backyard breeder that was being mean to her. She is super sweet, and although she's only about 30lbs. She is very strong. She is current on vaccines, spayed and is on slow kill treatment for heartworms. The rescue covers heartworm treatment until she tests negative. She is around other dogs her size and doing well as long as they respect her space. She DOES NOT like larger dogs AND ABSOLUTELY NO CATS. She will also need a solid privacy fence, chainlink will not be approved. Does well with people and older children. Her adoption fee is $350. Foster to adopt is available in the Dallas area. We will hopefully have more pictures soon, she doesn't hold still for very long.

Grady is a new addition to our rescue. We currently need a foster or foster to adopt for him. He does need to complete some basic vetting before eligible to adopt. We had a foster home lined up for him but we have discovered he needs a home without cats. He is a sweet big ol lovebirds otherwise. We really need to find a spot for him asap. We love Maverick and were very excited when he joined our family two years ago. He is a great playmate to our other dog and kids. We are told he was born in May of 2022. The family we got him from was moving abroad and couldn't keep him. They got him from a breeder and we even saw photos of his parents (mom English bulldog and dad American bulldog). Unfortunately, over the past year, Maverick has lost control of his hind legs and is incontinent. (He was house and crate trained prior to the medical issues.) We've seen a neurologist who suspects he has a vertebral malformation or a Subarachnoid Diverticulum. We tried steroids in hopes they would help but they didn't. Maverick is a big teddy bear & deserves a family that can give him to love, care, and attention he needs. He knows his commands but has to be enticed with food/treats. He can be stubborn at times. He loves bananas & bone shaped biscuits from Petsmart and Trader Joes. He has a sensitive tummy and allergies (Claritin).

Tyler is a gentle soul; one of the emotionally softest dogs you will ever meet. He had a hard start somewhere, we think he was pushed around and probably had a hard-handed owner in his puppyhood. Finally he’s learned to expect good things from humans in his life, learning to love belly rubs and head scratches. He lives with lots of other dogs and gets along with or avoids them. He seems to think the dogs that want to rough house and play might hurt him so while he could live with other dogs he wouldn’t be a good playmate for another kiddo in his home.Initially Tyler was terribly afraid of a leash but will now leash walk with gentle coaching, he can not be pulled or forced which scares him still. He will now go through doorways and use a doggie door but will need time to adjust to both in a new environment. His foster mom usually just leaves a door wide open for him or takes him through with a leash. He’s come a long way but still has work to do in those areas.He doesn’t have much vision in his right eye which may be why he has trouble with steps/stairs and should be in a home where he doesn’t have to navigate those on a regular basis. He is also a bit hard of hearing so getting his attention through sight is imperative.Tyler has learned to come when his foster calls him and how to suck up when he wants her attention. He is a handsome, English Bulldog and is very typical of the breed other than learning his true worth.Tyler is fully vetted - current with his vaccines, neutered, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention; and he is microchipped.
