Animal Profile: Penny is a 18-month-old, 65 lb spayed female English Bulldog mix. She has a tight, clean coat and an adorable underbite. She has guardian-breed tendencies and will need a breed-savvy owner able to provide appropriate leadership. She is loyal to her family and loves to snuggle. She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Once acclimated in a home environment, she loves to snuggle and play and has a goofy, loving personality. Animal History: Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are 75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. Prior to coming to us, he lived much of his life in a crate where he was not well socialized or cared for. Archie has made huge strides since going into his foster home and we have found that he forms a deep and loving bond with his person, and we think he would do best in a home with one owner. He is looking for a confident, experienced owner who will spend time to help him reach his full potential. Archie is happy with other dogs, and would do fine with other dogs in the home but is best suited to a home without children and without a lot of foot traffic. He does well in a crate, and he is also house broken. Archie has quite the personality and loves to go for a ride in the car. In addition to car rides, he absolutely loves his toys and will entertain himself for hours on end. Archie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

He is a strong walker as well and will need some work on overall obedience training. My foster parents don't know my history because I was dumped behind a bar in Portland, OR so we're learning together. I start off shy, but that's because I had a scary past. I just need to be reassured that you're going to love me and that I can trust you, and I will be your goodest, silliest girl. I will follow you everywhere, making sure that you're safe when you are at your most vulnerable...going to the bathroom. I take that job seriously. I can't fetch you toilet paper, or a towel, but I will commiserate with you if you find yourself in those situations. That's what goodest girls do. I would love a home with a yard so that I can really get my zoomies on, but I'm good in an apartment too. I'm a pro with stairs, but that doesn't mean I like them. Just sayin'. I definitely enjoy my walks, but I'm a strong girl and will pull you so you need to reign me in sometimes. I know I need someone with some bulldog experience because I can be a bit headstrong and if you give me an inch, I'll take that mile. An active (but not overly) family with older kids so that we can go to parks, and things of that nature. I'm learning about play, so it would be a lot of fun to learn how to play with a family. I love it when my foster mom puts treats in my Kong and then makes me figure out how to get those nom noms. I am potty and crate trained. I give subtle signs, so if you miss them, I'm sorry. If you have to walk me for potty breaks, just know there needs to be a "certain vibe" going on in order for me to feel comfortable to go. It can take a bit of time, walking, and quite possibly bushes for me to go behind to discreetly do my business.

Animal Profile: Biscuit was found wandering as a stray in So. Cal without a collar or microchip. He completed stray hold with one of our rescue partners, and made his way to Seattle on 1/26/25. Biscuit hadn’t been well cared for, and needed to be neutered and have his cherry eye repaired. Unfortunately during his exam with our vet, it was discovered that he had a Grade 5 heart murmur. Due to the severity of the grade, we opted to skip surgery and Biscuit will be medically exempt from being neutered. Meeting him, you’d never know he had a bum ticker. He’s playful, exuberant, and full of personality as Frenchies often are! Biscuit will need adopters committed to ongoing care, which may include medical management for his condition. Foster Update: Coming Soon! Medical Notes: Biscuit has a heart murmur so we were unable to do his neuter and cherry eye repair. We recommend his adopter have Biscuit evaluated with a cardiologist.
