MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Teddy. I were rescued from a hoarding situation, and my rescuer asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am friendly, but right now I am a bit nervous since I am not sure what is happening to me right now. I lived with a hoarder with a lot of other animals. My pictures show that I was not well cared for. I feel better now that I was groomed. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis disease, but I am taking medication for that. I do have a grade 3 of 6 heart murmur, but everything else is ok. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. It's Bailey checking in...I have been working on my puppy skills and am ready for a new home. I am crate trained and potty trained, but need a home with an adoptive family that can keep working on my skills. My first home did not know how to care for me. They expected me to know things and react to situations not as a puppy, but as a trained dog. They frightened me and did not know how important it was for me to be able to trust them. I am also quite active and that was not what they wanted in a dog. A yard to run around in would be a dream home or people who will take me for walks and want to play. I just want a home with people who will love me, make me feel secure, and help me to be a great canine citizen. Love, Bailey. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Bailey. My owner was moving and could not take me with her so she asked CSAC to help find me a new home. The best home for me has people who have puppy and training experience who can help with my training. I am house trained and crate trained, but I need help with my manners. I like to table surf, drink from the toilet and jump on people. Someone needs to teach me "drop and trade" when I pick up something I shouldn't have. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.
