Story
I am one sassy American English Coonhound, aka Redtick. I am the goofiest, silliest and most lovable tall glass of water you will ever find! I love to play and run. I usually don’t run too far from my person, but if I see a potential to play, meet at the neighbors. I am Just two years old and act like a puppy! I love kids because they play with me and laugh at me. If you are an elderly person, I stay calmer. I can tell the difference and I don’t want to hurt you. I am house and crate trained. I don’t like crates much, so the one I have is HUGE! It keeps me from being anxious. I’m good when you let me out to just hang out with you all day. I am great in the car and people want to come meet me when we are out. I stand up on my back legs and dance to get attention. I’m such a handsome and kind boy. I deserve my own family. If there are kids, SCORE! I ignore cats. They are too kiddy for me. The other dogs and I get along great. I hope to get a foster that will turn into a foster fail. If it doesn’t, your foster time will change my life while I wait.

Journey came to us in 2019 after being found stray, skinny and injured in the woods of SC. She had surgery to repair a fracture and was adopted out several months later. She is back with us after a life where she lived gated off in a room away from the family with another dog. She has a new life and a new name!! Jolene! When we got her back she was scared and anxious. She`s been living at a wonderful pet resort and they have made tremendous progress with her. She is now loving, playful with dogs, seeks their attention, loves her chew toys and doing great. She may be shy initially in a home so a little patience and time to adjust would be good. She is loyal and longs for a normal life where she can be part of a family. Age 7.5. 56 lb.

She has been doing well with their small poodles and 11 year old grandson. She is good in the house and mostly housetrained at this point. Sallie did great at the groomers... she even got her nails done. :-)Sallie loves to be outside, is always down for an adventure, hike or run with her person.
